Cooperation that has been established by Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) and Kasetsart University (KU) Thailand further developed through various activities. Both universities collaborate in academics field such as credit transfer program, joint research program, international internship program and other academic cooperation.
Currently, UNNES send 3 students to joint credit transfer program at Faculty of Education and Development Science, and 15 international internship students at Kasetsart University Thailand.
As the follow up of the various partnership conducted by UNNES and Kasetsart University, the UNNES Internationalization Team, which consist Dr. Ratna Dewi Kusumaningtyas, Fidia Fibriana, M.Sc. and Ariyani Widyastuti, S.E conducted a series of activities at Kasetsart University in order to monitor and evaluate the Credit Transfer Program at Faculty of Education and Development Science (EDU-KU-KPS).
Besides, the team also conducted a pioneer of International Teaching Internship cooperation at Kasetsart University Lab School on Monday (25/9)
This visit was also conducted in the framework of promotion and socialization of UNNES Scholarship for 11 international programs UNNES in 2018.
The UNNES Internationalization Team was accepted by Assist.Prof.Naroon Waramit, Acting Assistant to the President for Academic and International Affairs Kamphaeng Saen Campus and Dr. Kulthida Nugultham, Acting Assistant to the Dean for International Affairs and Special.
In this discussion forum, the MoA of Transfer Credit between FMIPA-UNNES and EDU-KU-KPS has been finalized. In addition, the UNNES internationalization team delivered information about scholarships for foreign students for about 55 students who will be indebted by UNNES Rector Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman, M.Hum.d in 2018.
Santichon Islamic School Bangkok
On the second day, the internationalization team also visited Santichon Islamic School Bangkok for international class promotion. The team was very well welcomed by Prasert Mussari, President of Santichon Islamic School and Dr. Manat Boonchorn, Director of Santichon Islamic School.
After visited Santichon Islamic School, the team visited the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok and also the Indonesian School of Bangkok Thailand on Tuesday (26/9). Team accepted by Attace of Education and Culture of Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok Prof. Mustari.
He warmly welcomed the arrival of UNNES team and also conveyed that UNNES can inform the cooperation data that has been done with institutions in Thailand.
“The MoU should also be done with Thailand schools so that bilateral cooperation between two countries can be more established through education” he added.
In addition, he also highly appreciates the scholarship offer given by UNNES to Thailand students and willing to facilitate the socialization of scholarships to schools in Thailand.
