Rector of Universitas Negeri Semarang recently welcomed 10 students of Darmasiswa Republik Indonesia Program. The students were Keisuke Yoshizaki (Japan), Daniela Ficova (Slovakia), Johanna Ernst (Germany), Ankita Chakraborty (India), Choi Jihye (South Korea), Lee Joeseb (South Korea), Tran Le Minh Thao (Vietnam), Randrianirina Linjo (Madagascar), Ramiandrarinirin A. Riantsoa (Madagascar), Tanjonirina Hasina Jhonny (Madagascar).
The coordinator of Darmasiswa program in UNNES, Yusro Edy Nugroho, reported that those ten students would be assisted by Indonesian buddies called “Sahabat Darmasiswa”. Meanwhile, rector of Universitas Negeri Semarang, Prof. Fathur Rokhman, stated that those students would study in UNNES for teh period of one year (2 semesters). They would learn Bahasa Indonesia and Indonesian culture including batik, traditional dance, painting, karawitan, and keroncong singing. In UNNES, they will not only learn the theory of those materials but also directly experience the practice.
