7 UNNES Students Compete in Woodball International Championship in South Korea

Seven students and two Woodball coaches will compete in the prestigious international level competition, the 10th Asian University Woodball Championship 2019 in Beoun, Chungbuk, South Korea on Thursday to Wednesday (June, 13-19).

They are Bagas Ardian (FIK), Aulia Riefky Nurafian (Faculty of Sports), Johan Fauji (Faculty of Sports), Muhammad Hanif (Faculty of Sports), Wulan Slamet Susilo (Faculty of Economics), Febriyanti (Faculty of Sports), and Wahyu Pandang Sari (Faculty of Sports). While acting as a coach are Drs Kriswantoro MPd (Faculty of Sports) and Moch Senoadji Karjadi SPd MPd (Faculty of Sports).

When saying goodbye to the Rector of UNNES Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman MHum on Monday (6/10), Kriswantoro said they would compete with other countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Uganda and India.

Kriswantoro added, UNNES team will take part in the Single Stroke and the Single Fairway competition .

The Rector greatly appreciated UNNES students and lecturers going international. According to him, this further strengthens the position of UNNES in the international arena.

“With the spirit of UNNES goes international for Indonesia, let’s make UNNES and Indonesia proud. Keep your spirit and take care of your health, come back here with the proud name of UNNES as well as achievements in the international arena,” the Professor of the Language and Arts Faculty said.
