A good collaboration between Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) and the Bureau of Planning and Foreign Cooperation (BPKLN) of the Ministry of Education and Culture is realized in the implementation of Darmasiswa Program every year. In 2018, UNNES received 9 (nine) students from various countries.
They are Guo SiYuan (China), Valeria Grajales Ramirez (Colombia), Alok Ranjan Swain (India), Syimyk Zhyrgalbekov and Shaiyrgul Manapova (Kyrgyzstan), Rahajason Fanaja Niriana and Rakotovao Mamitiana Mariah (Madagascar), Nima Sulong (Thailand), and Vo Thi Thanh Thao (Vietnam).
The group was received by the Rector Prof Fathur Rokhman MHum, who was represented by the Vice Rector for Planning and Collaboration Prof YL Sukestiyarno, Monday (3/9) at the UNNES rectorate of Sekaran campus.
The coordinator of UNNES Darmasiswa Program Intan Permata Hapsari MPd reported that in 2018 UNNES receives 9 students not only, in particular, to learn Bahasa Indonesia, but also culture, especially Central Javanese culture. This year, BPKLN provides a target for BIPA learning (Indonesian for Foreign Speakers) to meet a minimum 5 BIPA level.
UNNES Darmasiswa Program is managed by Intan Permata Hapsari MPd, Wati Istanti MPd, Agestia Putri Nusantari MPd, and Anas Fauzi under UNNES Planning and Cooperation and assisted by several students as the mentors.
At the end of his speech, Prof YL Sukestiyarno said that the presence of Darmasiswa students is expected to strengthen the internationalization of UNNES.
