Setiap komponen dan warga Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) harus berkontribusi dalam mewujudkan Unnes menjadi Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Badan Hukum (PTN-BH). Salah satu komponen yang memiliki kontribusi besar adalah pengelola jurusan.

“Sekarang akreditasi universitas kita adalah B. Mulai 2016 mari kita bekerja sama untuk bisa meningkatkan akreditasi institusi Unnes menjadi A. Saya juga menghimbau pihak fakultas supaya akreditasi di program studi (prodi) menjadi A,” kata Rektor Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum saat menyerahkan Surat Keputusan Rektor  tentang Pengangkatan Sekretaris Jurusan, Kepala Laboratorium, Koordinator dan Sekretaris Prodi D3/S1, serta Ketua Bagian Fakultas Hukum, Selasa (12/1) di rektorat kampus Sekaran Gunungpati.

Prof Fathur menyampaikan, mulai 2016 ini Unnes mengembangkan pendanaan fakultas berbasis program studi. Dengan mekanisme ini, Prodi diharapkan dapat segera meningkatkan akreditasinya dari B menjadi A dan bahkan dari C menjadi A. Semua ini dilakukan untuk menuju Unnes menjadi PTN-BH.

Selain mendorong pengelola jurusan, Rektor juga mendorong dosen untuk meningkatkan publikasi internasional terindeks Scopus.

Rektor meminta minimal ada 9 orang per fakultas yang mengirim ke jurnal internasional terindeks Scopus. Dekan, Wakil Dekan, Kepala Jurusan, Sekretaris Jurusan, dan Kepala Prodi juga tidak lepas dari kewajiban menghasilkan karya ilmiah berkualitas dan mendorong dosen lain untuk berkarya.
