Sebanyak sembilan orang yang terdiri atas mahasiswa dan dosen Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), akan menggelar pelatihan dan pergelaran tari di National University of Singapore (NUS), 19-20 Desember 2012.

Koordinator kegiatan Usrek Tani Utina mengungkapkan, Unnes memenuhi panggilan dari NUS dalam rangka festival budaya di kampus tersebut. “Kami akan menggelar pelatihan tari Semarangan,” kata dosen Seni Tari Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Unnes ini.

Selain itu, Usrek mengatakan, tim juga akan beberapa kali mementaskan tari tradisi. “Selain tari Semarangan, akan dipentaskan pula kesenian rakyat Barongan, dan koreografi ‘Swuh’ yang pada Pekan Seni Mahasiswa (Peksimida) tahun ini mendapat juara III,” katanya.

Dijadwalkan, pementasan akan diliput secara langsung oleh Channel News Asia. “Selain pentas di NUS, tari juga akan dipentaskan Malay Heritage Centre,” ungkapnya.

Kerja Sama

Tidak hanya suguhkan pelatihan dan pentas, keberangkatan tim ini juga akan menjajaki kerja sama dengan pihak terkait. “Ini adalah salah satu langkah Unnes supaya lebih dikenal di kancah internasional,” kata Pembantu Rektor Bidang Pengembangan dan Kerja Sama Unnes Prof Fathur Rokhman.

Unnes, kata Prof Fathur, semakin banyak mempergelarkan seni-budaya di luar negeri. “Hal ini juga membuktikan Universitas Konservasi semakin diperhitungkan dan mendapat tempat dalam kerja sama internasional,” ujarnya.
