Universitas Mulawarman (Unmul) Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur, menjalin kerja sama dengan Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) dalam bidang Pendidikan Profesi Konselor (S1) dan Pendidikan Bimbingan Konseling (S2). Kesepakatan ditandai dengan penandatanganan nota kesepahaman (MoU) antara kedua pihak, Kamis (19/9), di Unmul.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum mengungkapkan, nantinya, kerja sama yang terjalin tidak hanya dalam bidang itu saja, tetapi mencakup pula bidang tri dharma perguruan tinggi lain. “Seperti tukar menukar mahasiswa, dosen, dan kegiatan ilmiah,” ujarnya.

Hal itu, menurut Prof Fathur, dikarenakan perguruan tinggi harus saling memberi keunggulan yang dimiliki masing-masing supaya memberi kebermanfaatan yang lebih luas. “Sistem serdos (sertifikasi dosen) dan sertifikasi guru yang dikembangkan oleh Unnes, misalnya, dapat dikembangkan dan digunakan oleh mitra kerja sama,” katanya.

Prof Fathur juga mengatakan, kerja sama dan sinergitas antar-perguruan tinggi menjadi hal yang makin dibutuhkan. Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi telah mengajak perguruan tinggi untuk dapat mengembangkan program saling tukar mahasiswa baik dari dalam negeri maupun luar negeri. “Diharapkan ilmu yang didapat pun makin berkembang. Selain itu dapat mengenal lebih jauh ragam budaya yang ada di Indonesia,” tutur Prof Fathur.

Pada kesempatan yang sama, Rektor Unmul Prof Dr Zamruddin Hasyid SE, SU, menyatakan senang apabila Unnes ikut bersama-sama dalam pengembangan pendidikan dan manajemen pendidikan di Unmul. “Dengan kampus seluas 270.000 hektar, Unmul baru menggunakan 70 hektar. Selebihnya berupa hutan,” kata Prof Zamruddin.

Oleh sebab itu, menurutnya, Unmul dan Unnes memiliki semangat yang sama dalam mengembangkan kampus konservasi. “Sangat memungkinkan kerja sama ini merambah konservasi alam,” ujarnya.

Pada kesempatan tersebut juga ditandatangani perjanjian kerja sama antara Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) Unnes  Hardjono MPd dengan Dekan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Unmul Drs H Syahril Bardin MSi. Penandatanganan merupakan wujud segera ditindaklanjutinya pelaksanaan Program Profesi Konselor.
