Perasaan marah sesungguhnya dapat menjadi energi yang besar untuk melahirkan tulisan.

Saratri Wilonoyudhomengemukakan hal itu pada diskusi di Pusat Kegiatan Mahasiswa kampus Sekaran, Jumat (18/3) malam. Diskusi digelar sebagai peringatan ulang tahun ke-8 buletin Express dan diikuti puluhan mahasiswa.

“Kemarahanlah yang telah mendorong saya hingga lahir beratus-ratus tulisan,” kata dosen Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik Unnes yang telah memublikasikan lebih dari 800 artikel opininya di berbagai media.

Meskipun demikian, kata Saratri, kemarahan jangan berhenti sebagai kemarahan belaka. “Membaca, berpikir, dan membiasakan diri untuk melakukan diskusi-diskusi kecil harus ditumbuhkan. Tanpa itu, mustahil kita bisa melahirkan tulisan-tulisan yang baik,” katanya bersaran.

Saratri juga mengatakan, hampir di semua kampus, pemikir dan penulis menjadi penggerak perubahan. “Sayangnya, penulis di kampus kita tidak begitu banyak,” katanya.

Dia berharap, ke depan Express tidak hanya berani tetapi juga mengembangkan prinsip tabayyun. “Ini akan terwujud jika para reporter juga mengembangkan jurnalisme berbasis riset. Dengan riset paling tidak ada dua keuntungan sekaligus yang bisa didapat, belajar meneliti yang akan berkontribusi besar untuk menulis skripsi dan mengembangkan praktik jurnalistik secara bertanggung jawab,” katanya.

Sebelumnya, Ubaidillah Kamal, Pembantu Dekan III Fakultas Hukum yang hadir mewakili PR III berharap Express ikut ambil bagian sebagai penjaga tiga pilar Unnes secara kritis namun konstruktif. “Ketiga pilar itu adalah konservasi, sutera (sehat, unggul, sejahtera –Red), internasionalisasi,” katanya.
