Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo  mengajak segenap warga universitas ini untuk senantiasa meningkatkan rasa syukur. Lebih-lebih pada bulan puasa.

Ajakan itu disampaikan Rektor di hadapan jamaah salat isya dan tarawih Masjid Ulul Albab kompleks kampus Sekaran,  Jumat (20/7) malam. Bertindak sebagai imam Prof Masrukhi dan penceramah Dr Edi Purwanto.

“Rasa syukur kita terhadap nikmat Allah antara lain karena kita masih bisa melangkah, menggerakkan tangan, dan mendengarkan dengan jernih. Anugerah ini  jangan sampai disia-siakan,” katanya.

Meningkatkan rasa syukur, menurutnya, sangat penting. “Seiring dengan itu, saling menghormati semua umat yang ada di dunia ini  karena semua itu adalah ciptaan-Nya. Rasa syukur secara lahiriah dapat dipancarkan lewat  kegiatan-kegiatan  yang bisa dirasakan oleh sesama umat,” paparnya.

Lebih lanjut dikemukakan, rasa syukur pada tingkat lembaga perlu dilakukan dengan menyadari dari waktu ke waktu  ada yang disumbangkan kepada masyarakat, bangsa, dan negara. “Segenap capaian  tidak lepas dari kerja sama semua warga, baik  mahasiswa, karyawan, maupun dosen.”

Ditekankan pula, rasa syukur baik secara pribadi maupun kelembagaan harus terus-menerus dibina dan dipertahankan. “Dengan beraktivitas yang bermakna, rasa syukur itu akan menjadi syukur yang sesungguhnya.”
