Kementerian Pariwisata (Kemenpar) terus berupaya meningkatkan kualitas SDM Pariwisata melalui roadshow pelatihan kepariwisataan ke berbagai kampus atau universitas di Indonesia. Misinya tidak lain, yakni membentuk kualitas SDM Pariwisata berstandar global.

Dengan mengusung program Pelatihan Dasar SDM Kepariwisataan atau yang lebih dikenal dengan Pariwisata Goes To Campus, Kemenpar berhasil menarik antusias 300 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang dan beberapa kampus sekitarnya untuk turut berpartisipasi.

Kegiatan yang terselenggara berkat kerjasama Kementerian Pariwisata dan Universitas negeri Semarang (UNNES) ini, berlangsung pada Jumat (2/3) yang bertempat di Aula Pascasarjana UNNES.

Turut hadir dalam kegiatan, Anggota Komisi X DPR RI Drs A H Mujib Rohmat, Asisten Deputi Pengembangan SDM Pariwisata dan Hubungan Antar Lembaga Dr Wisnu Bawa Tarunajaya SE MM, Kepala Bidang Kelembagaan Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Semarang Drs Giarsito Sapto Putratmo, Wakil Rektor Bidang Perencanaan dan Kerja Sama UNNES Prof YL Sukestiyarno MS PhD, dan Miss Tourism World 2017 Dewa Ayu Windu Sari Devi.

Saat memberikan arahan, mewakili Rektor UNNES, Prof Sukes berharap, mahasiswa tak sekadar menikmati destinasi wisata semata. Lebih jauh, ia berharap mahasiswa dapat menjadi agen sosialisasi dan berinovasi bagi pengembangan kawasan wisata kedepan.

“Saat ini merupakan momen yang tepat bagi mahasiwa untuk turut berpartisipasi dalam pembangunan pariwisata, mahasiswa sebagai kader dan agen perubahan dalam pengembangan pariwisata. Indonesia ada karena pemuda dan Indonesia tegak karena mahasiswa,” jelas Prof Sukes.

Dalam kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dasar tentang pariwisata ini, Anggota Komisi X DPR RI Drs A H Mujib Rohmat memberikan pemaparan terkait pengembangan pariwisata di Indonesia.

“Dunia pariwisata di Indonesia, mengalami perkembangan yang amat pesat, sebagai sektor penyumbang devisa bagi negara. Indonesia memiliki berbagai keragaman flora, fauna, budaya, tradisi, dan sejumlah local wisdom lainnya. Jika dapat dikelola dengan baik, industri pariwisata dapat mempercepat pertumbuhan dan pemerataan ekonomi di Indonesia,” jelas Rohmat.

Sejalan dengan penjelasan Drs Mujib Rohmat, Asisten Deputi Pengembangan SDM Pariwisata dan Hubungan Antar Lembaga Dr Wisnu Bawa Tarunajaya SE MM menjelaskan sebagai bagian dari masyarakat, mahasiswa memiliki peran strategis dalam mengupayakan percepatan pertumbuhan dan pemerataan ekonomi melalui sektor pariwisata.

Menurutnya, program Pariwisata Goes To Campus dilaksanakan agar mahasiswa dapat melahirkan gagasan baru untuk membangun pariwisata, mahasiswa sebagai multi disiplin, multi dimensi dan multi ilmu harus memiliki nilai tambah yang berguna bagi kemaslahatan masyarakat. Peran perguruan tinggi dalam pengembangan pariwisata sangat penting. Karena saat ini pariwisata menjadi leader pembangunan nasional. Potensi yang ada hanya harus dimanfaatkan karena Pariwisata selalu memiliki prinsip semakin dilestarikan semakin mensejahterakan.

Sementara itu, Miss Tourism World 2017 Dewa Ayu Windu Sari Devi berharap, mahasiswa dapat berperan aktif dalam mengembangkan industri pariwisata.

“Tak hanya menjadi agen pariwisata yang siap untuk menyosialisasikan keberadaan destinasi wisata. Lebih dari itu, mahasiswa dapat mengembangkan ekonomi pariwisata setempat dengan kreativitas, misal pengembangan kuliner dan souvenir khas daerah wisatanya,” ungkap penerima penghargaan Top 15 Miss Tourism World Best National Costume itu.

Setelah mengikuti seminar, 100 dari 300 peserta terpilih akan di kelompokan untuk mengikuti Focus Group Discussion yang akan membahas tentang upaya pengembangan destinasi wisata beberapa daerah di Jawa Tengah.
