Tiga perguruan tinggi terdiri atas Universitas Lampung (Unila), Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), dan Universitas Tidar Magelang melakukan kunjungan kerja ke Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes).

Mereka ingin mengembangkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk mununjang performa akademik dan remunerasi.

Rombongan diterima Pembantu Rektor Bidang Administrasi Umum Unnes Dr Wahyono MM, Kepala Biro, tim remunerasi, dan tim teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, Kamis (29/1) di rektorat kampus Sekaran Gunungpati.

Wakil Rektor Bidang Umum dan Keuangan Unila Dr Ir Dwi Haryono MS menyampaikan, Unnes sudah memiliki pengalaman dalam pengembangan dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk menunjang berbagai kebutuhan universitas.

Untuk itu, Unila khususnya ingin mengetahui pengalaman Unnes memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi sebagai acuan nanti di kampus Unila.

Menanggapi hal itu Pembantu Rektor Bidang Administrasi Umum Dr Wahyono mengatakan, untuk menjadi perguruan tinggi bermutu, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi harus dioptimalkan.

Unnes sudah merintis menggunakan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi secara terintegrasi sejak 2006 dengan nama “SIKADU” (sistem akademik terpadu). Dengan berjalannya waktu, berbagai sistem juga telah dikembangkan di unit-unit kerja diantaranya sistem keuangan, sistem kepegawaian, dan sistem untuk mengetahui kinerja pegawai.

Dengan berbagai sistem yang sudah diterapkan di Unnes ini sangat menolong sekali ketika menghitung remunerasi karena tinggal ngelingkan sistem-sistem itu datanya sudah muncul. Jadi menghitungnya cepat dan akurat. Sebaliknya jika menghitung secara manual alangkah rumitnya untuk menentukan besaran remunerasi tenaga pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan se-perguruan tinggi, kata Wahyono.
