Tempo Institute kembali mengundang mahasiswa di Indonesia untuk mengikuti kompetisi esai mahasiswa (KEM) “Menjadi Indonesia”. Ini adalah kompetisi menulis yang diselenggarakan berkala oleh Tempo Intitute. KEM tahun ini adalah yang ke-5.

“Menjadi Indonesia adalah menjadi manusia yang bersiap memperbaiki keadaan, tetapi bersiap pula untuk melihat bahwa perbaikan itu tidak akan pernah sempurna dan ikhtiar itu tidak pernah selesai,” demikian kata Goenawan Mohamad dalam  Surat dari & untuk Pemimpin, berkaitan dengan tema ini.

Panitia akan memilih 30 (tiga puluh) penulis esai terbaik untuk mendapatkan kesempatan mengikuti “Kemah Kepemimpinan — Menjadi Indonesia” di Jakarta dan Bogor, selama dua (2) minggu pada 16-30 Oktober 2013.

Dari Kemah Kepemimpinan itu akan ditentukan tiga pemenang yang akan memperoleh hadiah laptop dan uang tunai. Juara I akan memperoleh sebuah laptop dan uang Rp 6.000.000. Juara II akan memperoleh laptop + Rp 4.000.000. Adapun Juara III akan memperoleh laptop dan uang  Rp2.000.000.

Naskah dikirim ke panitia paling lambat Sabtu, 17 Agustus 2013 pukul 23.59. Pengumuman 30 besar  pada Selasa, 1 Oktober 2013. Poster dapat diunduh di sini.
