Mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) tahap II tahun 2017 Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) diwajibkan menanam tiga buah pohon produktif ditempat KKN.

Hal tersebutlah, yang disampaikan oleh Wakil Rektor bidang Akademik Prof Dr Rustono MHum saat memberikan arahan kepada 2159 Mahasiswa KKN dan 74 Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan (DPL), Rabu (2/8) di lapangan Gedung Rektorat Kampus Sekaran Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES).

“Setiap mahasiswa diwajibkan menanam tiga pohon produktif di daerah KKN. Keberlangsungan lingkungan bergantung pada upaya manusia untuk melestarikan. Jadi, sudah menjadi tugas dan tanggung jawab kita untuk turut melestarikan alam sekitar” jelas Prof Rustono.

Ia mengimbau, saat pelaksanaan KKN, mahasiswa dapat menjaga nama baik UNNES dan membantu memperdayakan masyarakat dengan serius agar masyarakat merasakan nilai dan manfaat dari KKN dan mahasiswa juga dapat belajar banyak dengan masyarakat.

“Melalui KKN, adik-adik dan UNNES diharapkan dapat memberikan andil terhadap pembangunan daerah terutama pedesaan. Adik-adik harus memiliki niat tulus untuk mengabdi dan melaksanakan program dengan baik. Apapun yang diperlukan oleh masyarakat desa, adik-adik harus tanggap dan cekatan untuk mengenali masalah dan upaya penyelesaiannya” tambah Wakil Rektor sekaligus Guru Besar Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni tersebut.

Dalam laporannya, Kepala Pusat Pengembangan KKN UNNES Dr Dwijanto MS menjelaskan KKN tahap II tahun 2017 ini terbagi atas KKN Kebangsaan di Gorontalo, KKN Alternatif II-A, Lokasi Tahap 1, Revolusi Mental (KKN RM), Pengentasan Kemiskinan (KKN PK), dan Pembelajaran Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (KKN PPM).

“Mahasiswa KKN diterjunkan di lima kabupaten/kota yakni Kabupaten Demak, Kabupaten Semarang, Kota Semarang, Kabupaten Kendal, Kabupaten Temanggung, dan Kabupaten Wonosobo. Mereka nantinya akan melaksanakan program kerja yang telah disusun ditiap tiap lokasi KKN.” jelas Dr Dwijanto
