Betapa pun seorang penyair kaya dengan stok kata, ia tetap kesulitan untuk mengungkapkan cinta kepada Yang Maha Kuasa. Itu karena, cinta kepada Yang Maha Kuasa kerap kali kelewat besar. Maka, penyair perlu menempuh jalan lain selain kata, seperti tari, bunyi, dan tentu saja tangis.

Kiai Budi Harjono, pengasuh Ponpes Al-Ishlah dan penulis buku Pusaran Cinta, memeragakan semua upaya itu untuk mengungkapkan rasa cinta yang demikian itu dalam bedah buku, Rabu (23/4) malam di Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FBS Unnes.

Bedah buku itu digelar Jurusan BSI bersama Forum Morfem Bebas untuk mendedah Pusaran Cinta, buku yang berisi dua ratusan puisi bertema cinta. Pada sejumlah puisi itu, sang kiai, menumpahkan kekaguman, ketakutan, dan kemesaraan pada Dzat yang menciptakannya. Perasaan itu  diungkapkan dengan metafora, gigantisme, dan modus ungkap lain yang menunjukkan ketakterbatasan.

Kiai Budi kemudian “mengawinkan” syair puisi, tari, dan bunyi-bunyi. Seraya membawakan tari sufi, ia merapal syair, hingga lahirlah sesuatu yang tak diduga: air mata.

Menurut dosen sastra Indonesia Muhamad Burhanudin, karakter puisi  Kiai Budi  khas karena ditulis untuk mengungkapkan cinta. tidak hanya cinta kepada sesama, tapi pada alam, dan terutama kepada Tuhan yang Maha Esa.

“Beliau ini kiai. Beliau pimpinan pondok pesantren. Maka tidak heran kalau beliau menggunakan puisi sebagai sarana dakwah,” katanya.
