Menjadi universitas yang paling dulu memiliki statuta versi regulasi terbaru, membuat Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) menjadi tempat bagi universitas lain untuk belajar. Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) salah satunya.

Dipimpin ketua senat UNY Prof Dr Achmad Dardiri MHum rombongan berjumlah 11 orang itu memang hadir di Unnes, Kamis (27/11), dengan niat utama mempelajari hal itu.

”Menyusun statuta, yang merupakan pedoman pokok penyelenggaraan segala hal di perguruan tinggi merupakan target terdekat kami. Karena itu, kami datang dengan badan pekerja statuta kami, di samping menegaskan jalinan kerja sama, kunjungan dan studi banding ini lebih fokus kepada pengelolaan Statuta,” kata Prof Achmad Dardiri.

Menurut Ketua Senat UNY,  setelah statuta rampung, pihaknya akan mendorong institusinya sebagaimana yang telah diterapkan Unnes sejak beberapa tahun lalu. ”Sebab, kami juga ingin merasakan keluwesan dalam pengelolaan Statuta,” katanya.

Seperti tak mau kalah, Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Unnes Prof Dr Masrukhi MPd, yang didampingi Ketua Senat Unnes Prof Dr Samsudi MPd dan beberapa anggota senat yang lainpun melontarkan pujian kepada tamunya. ”Sebenarnya, UNY lebih besar daripada Unnes.

Prof Masrukhi juga mengatakan, tak mungkin sebuah universitas mampu mengembangkan diri secara optimal tanpa bkerja sama dengan universitas lain. “Di antara universitas-universitas, pastilah ada kelebihan yang dimiliki, namun di situ pula sangat mungkin ada kelemahannya. Dengan kerja sama, kita yang kebetulan berasal dari wadah yang sama yaitu ex Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (IKIP) bisa saling melengkapi. Sebab, akan tiada artinya keberadaan kita jika tidak saling berbagi,” katanya.
