Pusaka Kiai Bende yang diyakini sebagai peninggalan Syekh Hasan Munadi, murid Sunan Kalijaga yang ratusan tahun lalu menyebarkan Islam di wilayah Gunungpati, Kamis (14/6) dikirab mengelilingi desa Nongkosawit. Acara tersebut merupakan bagian dari sedekah bumi yang rutin diselenggarakan tiap tahun.

Dalam acara yang dipadati warga itu, nampak hadir pula puluhan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes). Mereka turut serta memeriahkan acara yang diisi dengan berbagai kesenian tradisional.

Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Semarang Nur Jannah mengatakan, sudah selayaknya Nongkosawit ditetapkan sebagai desa wisata. Berbagai event kesenian rakyat dan termasuk acara rutin seperti ini dapat menarik minat wisatawan domestik maupun mancanegara. “Mari kita dukung terus supaya tiap acara dapat maju dan semakin berkembang,” tandasnya.

Kirab dimulai dengan penjamasan pusaka yang dilakukan di lapangan desa Nongkosawit. Ritual itu dipimpin oleh sesepuh desa Ki Suparmin. Selama jamasan, sayup terdengar gending yang dimainkan oleh karawitan cokekan dari mahasiswa dan dosen Unnes. Sekitar 10 menit setelah itu, Kiai Bende kembali dimasukkan ke sebuah kotak berukir dan dikirab. Diikuti ratusan orang yang banyak di antaranya membawa serta tetabuhan rebana, drum band, replika robot dan helikopter, juga kesenian khas desa itu, Sapi Pragolo.

Salah satu mahasiswa Unnes, Dhesy Purnawati mengatakan dirinya menghadiri acara itu untuk ikut meramaikan acara. “Harus ada upaya nyata dari generasi muda untuk ikut ngrungkebi hal-hal semacam ini. Mosok kalah sama yang sudah sepuh,” kata mahasiswa yang juga sinden ini.

    sedekah bumi kok malah kayak orang bingung, bende dinamai kyai (setahuku kan sebutan pimpinan ponpes) dimasukkan kotak trus diewer-ewer keliling desa. trus sedekahnya apa? dan kapan? jan mbingungi.harusnya namany keliling desa aja.

    Dalam kebudayaan Jawa, nama Kiai-atau yang Anda tulis Kyai-sudah ada bahkan sebelum kedatangan islam di tanah Jawa. Dibuktikan dengan banyak benda peninggalan masa itu yang nama depannya dinamai dengan “gelar” tersebut. Sedekah bumi dimaksudkan sebagai salah satu wujud rasa syukur atas rezeki dan keselamatan yang telah dilimpahkan, terutama pada masyarakat wilayah itu. Pemahaman yang kurang-bahkan cenderung dangkal-seringkali membuat tradisi seperti ini dianggap klenik atau bahkan musyrik.
