Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) menyerahkan sebanyak 224 sertifikat pendidik sertifikasi dosen 2011. Penyerahan tersebut dilakukan di gedung C7 Fakultas Ilmu Sosial kampus Sekaran, Rabu (28/12).

Penyerahan secara simbolis diwakili satu dosen pada masing-masing fakultas. Dari Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) diwakili oleh Ali Formen, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) oleh Agus Yuwono, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) oleh Moh Arif Munandar, dan Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) oleh Dewi Ratna Dewi.

Selain itu, Fakultas Teknik (FT) diwakili oleh Subiyanto, Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) oleh Tri Nurharsono, Fakultas Ekonomi (FE) oleh Nina Oktarina, dan Fakultas Hukum (FH) diwakili Ubaidillah Khamal.

Dalam sambutannya, Rektor mengungkapkan, dengan diterimanya sertifikat pendidik ini, tanggung jawab dosen menjadi bertambah. “Kalau bekerjanya tidak lebih baik setelah memperoleh sertifikat, ya, sertifikatnya diminta berikut uang tunjangannya. Atau sertifikat tetap dipegang dan gajinya ditarik, Pilih mana? Pasti tidak ada yang dipilih,” kata Rektor.

Berkarakter dan Bermartabat
Pemerintah sebenarnya tidak berhenti pada kata profesional, tapi lebih dari itu, dosen hendaknya berkarakter dan bermartabat.
Ketiga hal tersebut menyatu dengan penerimaan sertifikasi pendidik atau sertifikasi dosen. “Siapa pun yang memegang sertifikat pendidik itu, maka harus mengemban amanat itu” ujar Rektor.

Profesional melahirkan empat pilar, yakni kompetensi pedagogik, akademik, kepribadian, dan kompetensi sosial. Sedangkan pendidikan karakter mempunyai unsur jujur, peduli, cerdas, dan tangguh. Bermartabat adalah harga diri profesi.

Rektor juga mengungkapkan, sertifikasi bukan semata-mata untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan. “Kalau buruh harus bersusah payah demo untuk meminta tambahan kesejahteraan mereka, Anda yang sudah S2 atau S3 kesejahteraannya sudah dipikirkan pemerintah. Almarhum Gubernur Jateng Ismail mengatakan, ana rembug dirembug piye penake piye apike, murih tujuwan mulya kelakon,” katanya.

97% Lulus Sertifikasi
Koordinator Sertifikasi Dosen Drs Ngabiyanto MSi melaporkan, pada tahun 2011 Unnes mengusulkan 230 dosen yang ikut sertifikasi. Dari 230 dosen yang diusulkan, lulus 224 orang (97%) dan belum lulus 6 orang (3%). Penambahan 224 dosen bersertifikat ini telah menambah dosen bersertifikat menjadi 642 orang atau 64% dari keseluruhan dosen Unnes yang menurut Sistem Kepegawaian (Simpeg) sejumlah 1006 dosen.

Sertifikasi tersebut dinilai oleh 13 perguruan tinggi penyelenggara sertifikasi (PTPS) yakni Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM), USU (Universitas Sumatra Utara), Universitas Andalas, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Universitas Negeri Malang, dan Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Selain itu, ITB, ITS, ISI Yogyakarta, Unair, Universitas Jember, Universitas Negeri Makasar, dan Universitas Negeri Pajajaran.

“Dosen yang tersertifikasi tahun 2011 itu menyebar di semua fakultas di Unnes, yakni Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) sebanyak 32 orang, FBS (41), FIS (22), FMIPA (51), FT (38), FIK (23), FE (13), dan Fakultas Hukum 4 orang,” kata Ngabiyanto.

    Setelah sertifikasi dosen, pustakawan pun mulai bergerak mengikuti jejaknya. Kami sedang menunggu rumusan standar kompetensi pustakawan yang konon masih dalam proses, ini merupakan langkah awal dalam sertifikasi pustakawan. Penyusunan standar kompetensi yang masih dalam proses tersebut melibatkan beberapa pihak meliputi organisasi profesi, Badan Kepegawaian Nasional, Menpan, BNSP, Depnaker, para pakar pustakawan dan lembaga pendidikan perpustakaan (Harmawan dalam Kismiyati, 2008)
