Guru Besar bidang Pendidikan Kejuruan di Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Prof Dr Samsudi MPd, memberi motivasi kepada 374 siswa di SMK Muhammadiyah Brebes, Senin (5/5).

“Saya dulu ngekos waktu sekolah. Berangkat jalan kaki. Saya berharap kalian lebih bersemangat sekolah karena zamannya berbeda dan semua tersedia. Raih cita-cita yang tinggi, semoga bisa menjadi guru,” ungkap pria kelahiran Brebes, 8 Agustus 1960 itu.

Beberapa siswa nampak tertawa ketika mendengar cerita sang profesor saat masa kecilnya yang berbeda dengan sekarang. Dalam kunjungan yang merupakan bagian dari Progam Profesor dan Doktor Go to School itu, Prof Samsudi didampingi oleh pengawas SMK Brebes, Kasno. Mereka diterima oleh Kepala SMK Muhammadiyah Brebes, Alex Fitriadi.

Widiawati, guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris di sekolah itu, memaparkan sejumlah permasalahan yang dihadapi. “Materinya bertambah, hal itu berakibat waktu untuk bersama siswa jadi berkurang. Belum lagi sarana penunjang juga masih kurang,” kata dia.

Menjawab permasalahan tersebut, Prof Samsudi mengajak segenap guru untuk memaksimalkan peran juga sarana yang tersedia. “Justru tugas guru adalah meminimalisir berbagai hambatan tersebut dengan tujuan mendidik siswa,” ujar dia memotivasi.

Dalam waktu yang bersamaan, dosen di Jurusan Sejarah Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) Unnes, Dr Suwito Eko Pramono MPd, juga menyambangi SMA 2 Brebes. Dia didampingi oleh pengawas SMA Brebes, Sugiyono. Dalam kesempatan itu, Suwito melakukan sosialisasi dan penguatan Kurikulum 2013.

“Kedatangan Bapak Suwito sangat mencerahkan bagi kami karena kami mendapat masukan yang sangat berarti,” ujar Kepala SMA 2 Brebes, Drs Edi Wahyudi MPd.
