Keberhasilan Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) memperoleh rekomendasi untuk segera mendapatkan sertifikat ISO 9001:2008 dan IWA 2:2007, pekan lalu, mestinya sejajar dengan upaya menjaga layanan prima. Salah satunya dengan tetap tersenyum ketika memberikan layanan kepada siapa pun.

“Jangan malah mbesengut, mbethuthut, atau njegadhul ketika melayani siapa saja. Sebaliknya, tersenyumlah. Di samping membuat orang orang lain senang, senyuman juga membuat kita lebih awet muda,” pesan Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan (PR III) Unnes Prof Masrukhi saat menjadi pembina apel pagi di halaman rektorat, Senin (10/10).

Prof Masrukhi mengumpamakan pipi orang yang senantiasa tersenyum ibarat buah apel. “Meskipun lama-lama ada permukan yang bosok, apel tetap saja lebih kelihatan bagus daripada buah lain yang berkerut-kerut,” katanya yang segera saja disambut tawa para peserta apel.

PR III mengatakan, semenjak lima pekan lalu kesibukan di kampus Sekaran tampak begitu mencolok setiap pagi hingga menjelang magrib, mulai dari pintu gerbang barat sampai dengan ujung timur Fakultas Teknik.  “Ini tak lepas dari pertambahan mahasiswa baru kita yang meningkat secara signifikan, hingga lebih dari 7.000 orang. Ini tentu saja membawa konsekuensi pada makin meningkatnya layanan ita,” katanya.

Dia juga menginformasikan, dalam waktu dekat Unnes akan menerima dua tamu penting, yakni Menteri Pendidikan Nasional M Nuh dan Menteri Koordinator Kesejahteraan Rakyat HR Agung Laksono. Mendiknas dijadwalkan hadir di Universitas Konservasi Sabtu, 15 Oktober, sedangkan Menkokesra Rabu, 19 Oktober 2011.

    Wah sepertinya hanya ada dalam artikel, kemarin waktu pelayanan PMB mahasisiwa baru kami malah terkesan diabaikan dan dicuekin, mungkin begitulah citra universitas negeri yang belum bisa dihilangkan.

    Saya kira senyum merupakan kunci kesuksesan, dengan senyum semua persoalan menjadi lebih ringan, disamping juga untuk senam raut wajah, agar tidak cepat keriput…. Dan amalan yang paling murah dan mudah.

  3. saya sepakat dengan bapak PR III. Tapi dulu saya sering menghadapi staf yang jutek dan galak di bagian Mawa. Saya aku Pak PR III orangnya ramah, tapi tolong pak, orang di bawahnya juga harus ngikuti..

    Sepertinya para civitas akdemika di UNNES yang belum bisa memberikan pelayanan prima setelah mendapat ISO, perlu di tinjau dan lebih lanjut di “APeli” Prof,supaya tidak sekadar wacana saja.

    masih banyak pak di staff kemahasiswaan yang memberi pelayanan ke mahaiswa yg memakai kerutan wajah / emosian dibandingkan senyum
