Semua tamu yang datang ke Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) harus dilayani dengan ramah, sopan, dan menyenangkan. Baik itu tamu yang datang langsung maupun melalui telepon.

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Administrasi Umum (PR II) Dr Wahyono menyampaikan itu saat memberi pengarahan pada Pelatihan Pengembangan Standar Layanan Penerima Tamu, Rabu (11/9) di rektorat kampus Sekaran. Pelatihan diikuti 70 orang karyawan di lingkungan Unnes.

“Tugas kita memberi pelayanan terbaik, sehingga tamu merasa puas. Pelatihan seperti ini kelihatannya sepele tapi manfaatnya sungguh luar biasa terhadap Universitas,” tegasnya.

Dr Wahyono juga mengemukakan, kita semua tahu bahwa Unnes memperoleh peringkat pertama dalam pelayanan prima tingkat Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. “Jangan merasa puas dulu, itu baru awal perjalanan kita tingkatkan terus sumber daya manusia (SDM) karena akan  bersaing dengan instansi lain,” katanya.

Unnes ini produsen di bidang jasa pendidikan untuk mendidik anak menjadi anak yang cerdas dan pandai. Untuk mewujudkan menjual produk berkualitas itu harus didukung semua yang ada di universitas ini.

Dia mencontohkan, pada penerimaan mahasiswa baru, setelah mahasiswa selesai registrasi langsung menerima kartu Tanda Mahasiswa (KTM). Itu merupakan salah satu pelayanan prima.

Contoh lain, Unnes sebagai kampus konservasi dimana semua orang yang masuk kampus harus mentaati peraturan yang sudah disepakati yakni bersepeda atau jalan kaki. Apabila ada tamu dari luar warga Unnes masuk kampus disuruh jalan kaki sepanjang 500 meter, pasti tamu itu grundel atau tidak nyaman.

Sebaliknya, jika tamu itu kita layani dengan baik, tamu itu kita antar sampai tujuan dengan naik bus misalnya, maka tamu itu merasa dihormati dan perasaan grundel tadi sirna berkat pelayanan prima.

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Administrasi Umum menambahkan, kedepan standar penerima tamu ini harus dibuat standart operating prosedur (SOP).
