“Bagaimana nasib guru bahasa Perancis? ” menjadi topik pertemuan
Perhimpunan Pengajar Bahasa Perancis Seluruh Indonesia (PPPSI) Jawa Tengah bekerja sama dengan Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Selasa (24/12) di Gedung Dekanat FBS Kampus Unnes Sekaran.

Sebagaimana laporan ke unnes.ac.id (27/12), ada dua agenda penting yang dibahas. Pertama, membahas persiapan pelaksanaan kurikulum bahasa Perancis di sekolah menengah serta persoalan yang melingkupinya. Kedua, sosialisasi program kunjungan budaya penutur Perancis ke sekolah.

Bahasan pertama, Prof Astini memaparkan pentingnya pengajaran bahasa dan budaya di sekolah. Ia menggambarkan bagaimana jurusan bahasa dan budaya sekarang ini kurang mendapat tempat, terutama di tangan kepala sekolah. “Akibatnya, banyak sekolah memangkas program penjurusan hanya menjadi dua. Padahal bila dilihat sejarahnya, bahasa asing sempat menjadi primadona, selain program eksakta,” tuturnya.

Profesor dari Fakultas bahasa dan Seni ini bahkan menemukan fakta di lapangan saat turun gunung “Professor go to school” di beberapa sekolah. “Ternyata banyak kepala sekolah yang belum memahami arti lintas minat”. Mengacu pada permendiknas, sekolah seharusnya mengadakan seleksi berdasarkan minat, track record siswa, tes penempatan, maupun evaluasi lainnya agar ketiga bidang ini bisa diselenggarakan sekolah.

Apalagi bagi sekolah yang sudah memiliki guru bahasa asing. Namun, kenyataan di lapangan sangat mengancam keberadaan guru-guru bahasa asing. Untuk itu, “guru dan organisasi profesi bersatu untuk melakukan aksi agar sekolah dapat kembali menerapkan peraturan ini,” tambahnya.

Ia juga menyerukan agar dinas pendidikan ngopeni nasib guru bahasa asing yang sudah ada di sekolah,” tandasnya.

Kemudian melanjutkan sosialisasi kurikulum baru, Diah Vitri, dari Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis menunjukkan perencanaan pengajaran melalui penjabaran RPP. Yang membedakan pada kurikulum 2013 ini, titik berat pengajaran adalah penguasaan tindak komunikasi “acte de paroles” agar siswa mampu berkomunikasi.

Guru tidak boleh lagi hanya mengajarkan tata bahasa, tetapi guru juga perlu memperhatikan muatan nilai dari tiap materi pengajaran, bagaimana menjelaskan satu nilai dalam pengajaran bahasa Perancis, itu yang perlu dipikirkan”, tambah Diah Vitri.

Sementara itu, Tri Eko Agustiningrum, Kaprodi Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis menawarkan program kunjungan penutur Perancis ke sekolah. Acara yang dikemas dalam bentuk penampilan siswa dan presentasi ini bertujuan untuk memotivasi siswa dalam mengenal bahasa dan budaya Perancis.

Acara ini juga terbukti di sejumlah SMA menampilkan kemampuan siswa dalam belajar. Beberapa program kunjungan di Kendal, Temanggung, Pati dan terakhir di Ungaran membuktikan bahwa siswa aktif menampilkan kemampuan berbahasa Perancisnya melalui sajian lagu, puisi, bahkan tari. Untuk itu, ia mengajak, sekolah yang berminat mengadakan kegiatan serupa berkoordinasi dengan PPPSI atau prodi.

Rencananya tahun mendatang PPPSI akan mengadakan seminar regional.
