Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik (BEM FT) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), menyelenggarakan Dialog Kebangsaan dengan tema Membangun Peradaban Bangsa Melalui Pendidikan Karakter Moral. bertempat di Auditorium UNNES. Minggu (27/11).

Dalam dialog kebangsaan tersebut menghadirkan dua pembicara, yakni Ketua Dewan Kehormatan Penyelenggara Pemilu RI (DKPP RI) Prof Dr Jimly Asshiddiqie dan Wakil Ketua Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) Dr Saut Situmorang.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum dalam sambutannya menyatakan bahwa dialog kebangsaan yang dilaksanakan pagi ini menjadi sesuatu yang penting. Di era hari ini, pendidikan karakter menjadi sangat penting karena degradasi moral sudah merajalela tentu hal itu akan mempengaruhi kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Rektor dalam sambutannya juga sekaligus membuka acara.

Dalam acara dialog tersebut, Prof Jimly menyampaikan tentang kekayaan sumber daya alam yang dimiliki Indonesia secara kualitas maupun kuantitas begitu menggiurkan. Selain bisa menjadi sumber kekayaan, pun juga bisa menjadi ancaman.

Sumber daya alam menjadi bahan rebutan oleh orang-orang yang punya pendidikan tinggi terutama, maka dari itu orang pendidikan tinggi saja tidak cukup namun juga harus dibarengi dengan kesadaran moral dan karakter.

Ketua Mahkamah Konstitusi pertama tersebut juga menyampaikan, pentingnya menjaga moral yang sudah tertanamkan dalam setiap sila dalam pancasila. Dari mulai Ketuhanan hingga Keadilan Sosial. Menurutnya, bila dibandingkan dengan semangat yang dimiliki oleh Amerika Serikat, Indonesia lebih kaya tentang moral. Hal itu ditunjukan dengan adanya sila Ketuhanan yang Maha Esa.

Senada dengan apa yang disampaikan oleh Prof Jimly, Dr Saut Situmorang menyampaiakan tentang integritas. Dia menyampaikan bahwa integritas adalah sesuatu hal yang harus dimiliki setiap orang. Moral yang dibentuk harus dilandaskan pada integritas. Muhammad Sholekan
