Peningkatan akses pendidikan berkorelasi positif dengan peningkatan akses perempuan Indonesia ke berbagai bidang kehidupan. Dengan pendidikan yang baik, perempuan Indonesia dapat  berkiprah di berbagai bidang, termasuk bidang-bidang yang dianggap maskulin.

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Fathur Rokhman MHum menyatakan itu dalam refleksi peringatan Hari Kartini, Kamis (21/4).

Ia menunjukkan bahwa ada prospek cerah yang menunjukkan berkuranganya ketimpangan gender berkat akses pendidikan yang baik. Semakin tinggi tingkat pendidikan di sebuah komunitas semakin tinggi pula tingkat kesetaraan.

“Korelasi ini merupakan kabar yang menggembirakan. Cita-cita keseteraan yang pernah digelorakan Kartini semakin dekat terpenuhi,” katanya.

Di Unnes sendiri kecenderungan baik itu terbukti dengan tampilnya perempuan sebagai pimpinan. Prof Dr Tandiyo Rahayu terpilih menjadi dekan perempuan pertama sepanjang sejarah Unnes. Tidak berselang lama, Dr Rodiyah terpilih menjadi Dekan Fakultas Hukum.

Secara statistik, peningkatan peran perempuan juga dapat dibaca. Di Unnes, jumlah mahasiswi jauh lebih banyak yaitu 20.760 dibandingkan jumlah mahasiswa yaitu 14.753. Mahasiswi tersebut  kelak menjadi sarjana yang berkiprah di berbagai bidang pekerjaan. Kesetaraan bukan lagi kemustahilan.

  1. Perempuan adalah Soko Guru Peradaban, yang memiliki peran besar bagi kemajuan atau kemunduran generasi berikutnya.
    Setiap perempuan di Indonesia wajib mengenyam pendidikan yang tinggi karena ia akan menjadi seorang ibu. Ibu yang cerdas akan menghasilkan anak-anak yang cerdas menjadi generasi penerus yang akan mengubah dunia menjadi lebih baik. Nelson Mandela pernah mengatakan, pendidikan adalah senjata yang paling ampuh kita gunakan untuk mengubah dunia.
    Maka dari itu, mari kita para mahasiswi, sebagai kartini-kartini masa kini, gunakan kesempatan belajar di Unnes ini untuk menggali ilmu dengan sungguh-sungguh, ikut berperan dalam memperjuangkan pendidikan bagi kaum hawa. Terutama dengan terbukannya akses pendidikan yang lebih luas bagi semua kalangan.

    wanita adalah mahluk yang istimewa, pun ketika wanita tidak masuk ke dalam posisi entah itu jabatan, pimpinan ataupun posisi yang penting dalam lembaga, kiprah wanita sudah kita pahami sangat sakral dan tak tergantikan. Dan memang luar biasa ketika pada zaman sekarang wanita banyak menempati posisi posisi strategis dalam jabatan kampus misalnya, tentu itu disebabkan karena meratanya akses pendidikan antara kaum laki laki dan kaum perempuan,.. #Selamat berkontribusi

    Pendidikan pada masa kini bisa diakses siapa saja, berbeda dengan masa penjajahan yang hanya mengenyam pendidikan merupakan orang berdarah biru. Sehingga kita perlu bersyukur dengan kondisi sekarang perempuan atau laki-laki, kaya atau miskin semuanya bs mendapatkan pendidikan.

    Jumlah perempuan yang mendominasi di Unnes ini semoga bisa memberi pengertian bahwa kesetaraan gender memang diperlukan. Karena bukan lagi saatnya wanita selalu bergantung pada laki-laki.
