Apa yang membuat masyarakat bangga kepada pemimpinnya dan apa yang membuat pemimpinnya bangga kepada masyarakat?

Itulah pertanyaan yang dilontarkan Ichsanuddin Noorsy, pengamat kebijakan publik sebelum memberikan materi dalam dialog nasional yang diselenggarakan Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), akhir pekan lalu, di kampus Sekaran.

Acara dibuka Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Prof Dr Masrukhi MPd dengan tema “Peran Mahasiswa dalam Membangun Bangsa”. Kegiatan diikuti puluhan mahasiswa dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia, di antaranya Universitas Negeri Makasar dan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman.

Seorang pemimpin harus mempunyai cita-citanya yakni melindungi, memajukan kesejahteraan, mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa sesuai dengan amanat Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 alinea ke-4. “Itulah yang membuat masyarakat bangga pada pemimpinnya,” tegas Ichsanuddin Noorsy.

Maka, seorang pemimpin dari presiden sampai dengan gubernur tugasnya kepada masyarakat adalah alinea ke-4 dan ketika mereka tidak menjalankan itu tak seorang pun pemimpin dibanggakan oleh masyarakatnya. “Tak ada seorang pun di negeri ini akan membanggakan bagi pengikut dan rakyatnya ketika dia tidak menjalankan konstitusinya,” kata Ichsanuddin Noorsy.

“Anda seorang mahasiswa apakah Anda bisa bermanfaat kepada bangsa ini atau malah menjadi beban kepada bangsa?” tanya Ichsanuddin Noorsy .

Menurut Ichsanuddin Noorsy, sejarah Indonesia sebagai negara terjajah menjadikan mental bangsa ini seperti kehilangan jati dirinya. “Bangsa ini mempunyai sejarah sebagai bangsa yang pernah terjajah, jadi seakan bangsa ini bermental pekerja pada bangsa lain,” katanya.

“Mahasiswa sebagai generasi terdidik harus mempunyai motivasi yang lebih. Kalian jangan hanya menjadi ‘tukang’ jangan hanya meminta pada negara tetapi mampu memberikan yang terbaik untuk bangsa ini,” kata Ichsanuddin Noorsy.

Dia juga prihatin dengan kondisi mahasiswa saat ini yang hanya belajar bukan untuk mencari ilmu, tetapi untuk mencari uang serta hanya berorientasi untuk mencari pekerjaan atau menjadi pegawai. “Sedikit dari mereka yang mau menjadi pengusaha.”

Drs Pujo Rahayu, Staf Ahli Gubernur Jawa Tengah menyoroti masyarakat Indonesia saat ini mengalami empat krisis, yakni krisis ideologi, jati diri, karakter, dan kepercayaan.

Posisi mahasiswa saat ini sangat strategis karena 25 tahun lagi pada Indonesia Emas 2045 merekalah yang memegang kendalai bangsa dan negara.

Mahasiswa mempunyai peranan penting dalam pembangunan bangsa, yakni mampu menjadi pemimpin bukan pejabat, harus bisa menjadi penyejuk, penyeimbang, dan pemungkin.

Penyejuk artinya mahasiswa harus menjadi penyejuk, bukan malah menjadi provokator, bukan malah demo anarkis. “Apa alasannya Anda pemimpin, paling tidak memimpin dirinya sendiri.”

Kepemimpinan adalah tindakan bukan jabatan. Artinya, lebih baik mampu memimpin tidak usah punya jabatan daripada punya jabatan tidak bisa memimpin.

    Seerang asesor/evalutor BAN-PT dari Dikti pernah mempertanyakan kepada dosen-dosen sebuah prodi yang diases/dievaluasi, sbb.: Apakah ukuran sejahtera bagi bapak-bapak/ibu-ibu? Sudahkah lembaga bapak-bapak/ibu-ibu mensejahterakan bapak-bapak/ibu-ibu? Misalnya keluar negeri untuk melihat perkembangan IPTEKS dan museum yang memang sesuai dengan prodi bapak-bapak/ibu-ibu? Ataukah, jika bapak-bapak/ibu-ibu bekerja di sini, keluarga di rumah juga sudah sejahtera? Inilah yang perlu introspeksi pada diri kita terkait judul artikel yang mengandung kata “sejahtera”
