Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) mengajak mahasiswanya menghindari penyalahgunaan narkoba dan berbagai paham radikalisme yang cenderung mengancam keamanan dan ketertiban bangsa dan negara.

“Kami secara tegas melarang mahasiswa terlibat dalam penyalahgunaan narkoba dan paham radikalisme apapun bentuknya,” kata Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum ketika memberi sambutan pada pembekalan calon mahasiswa baru (maba) UNNES yang secara resmi diterima melalui jalur Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN), Selasa (16/5) di Gedung Prof Wuyanto Kampus Sekaran Gunungpati.

Prof Fathur menambahkan, Indonesia sebagai negara Pancasila mesti dipahami secara benar oleh kalangan generasi muda utamanya mahasiswa sebagai kalangan intelektual. “Pancasila itu dasar, paham-paham yang cenderung merongrong Pancasila sebaiknya dihindari dan jangan dibiarkan berkembang di Indoneia,” imbuhnya.

Mahasiswa UNNES, kata Prof Fathur, merupakan insan perubahan yang harus mendapat pemahaman secara benar tentang nilai-nilai kebangsaan.

“Bisa dibayangkan jika mahasiswa UNNES yang merupakan kelompok intelek terlibat berbagai paham radikalisme? bisa rusak masa depan bangsa ini,” kata Profesor bidang Sosiolinguistik itu.

Selain itu, pihaknya berharap mahasiswa UNNES yang terdiri dari berbagai kalangan dari suku, ras dan agama dari seluruh Indonesia dapat menjadi garda terdapan bahkan dapat mengedukasi masyarakat untuk tetap menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan ditengah maraknya isu radikal yang berkembang belakangan ini.

Menurut Kepala Biro Administrasi Akademik Kemahasiswaan dan Kerja Sama (BAAKK) UNNES Drs Anwar Haryono MPd, pembekalan kali ini diikuti 1.951 calon maba yang diterima melalui jalur SNMPTN.

“Apabila ada calon maba yang tidak mengikuti pembekalan ini, secara otomatis kehilangan haknya sebagai mahasiswa Unnes”, jelas Anwar.
