Terdapat kewajiban moral bagi cendekiawan untuk memanfaatkan ilmu pengetahuan bagi kemaslahatan di luar dirinya. Untuk itu, ilmu perlu dihadirkan dalam berbagai aktivitas kemanusiaan. Hal tersebut disampaikan Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum dalam Pembekalan Pegawai Baru Unnes yang diselenggarakan oleh Biro Administrasi Umum dan Kepegawaian (BAUK) di Hotel Grasia Semarang, Kamis (9/11).

Kegiatan pembekalan dilakukan untuk memberikan bekal tentang akademik, kemahasiswaan, administrasi, kerjasama, penelitian, pengabdian, pengembangan jurnal dan konservasi. Diharapkan peserta pembekalan dapat bekerja lebih optimal untuk membesarkan Unnes.

Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum sebagai keynote speaker pada kegiatan tersebut mengatakan, yang membedakan keberadan dosen di Unnes adalah sejauh mana seorang dosen mampu memberikan manfaat bagi Unnes. Setiap pegawai di Unnes dituntut turut membangun rumah ilmu sebagai pengembang peradaban. “Letak keutamaan ilmu pada pengamalannya, sedangkan aplikasi amal bagi dosen terletak pada pelaksanan tri dharma perguruan tinggi yang meliputi pengajaran, penelitian, dan pengabdian,” ungkap Rektor Unnes.

Drs Anwar Haryono MPd selaku Kepala Biro Administrasi Umum dan Kepegawaian memaparkan, peserta pembekalan terdiri atas 83 dosen CPNS, 15 dosen kontrak, 29 tenaga kependidkan CPNS. Jumlah peserta pembekalan seluruhnya 127 orang. Pegawai Unnes di tahun 2015 sebanyak 2.051 orang yang terdiri atas 1.222 tenaga dosen dan 829 tenaga pendidikan (tendik). Rincian pegawai Unnes meliputi 973 dosen PNS, 83 dosen CPNS, 5 dosen BLU, 161 dosen Kontrak, 475 tendik PNS, 29 tendik CPNS, 100 tendik BLU, dan 224 tendik berstatus pegawai kontrak.

Peserta pembekalan akan menerima materi akademik yang disampaikan Prof Dr Rustono MHum Selaku PR I, materi administrasi umum disampaikan oleh Dr S Martono Msi selaku PR II, materi kemahasiswaan disampaikan oleh Dr Bambang Budi Raharjo Msi selaku PR III, sedangkan Prof YL Sukestiyarno MS PhD selaku PR IV memberikan materi tentang bidang kerjasama.
