Data dari Biro Pusat Statistik (BPS) dan Dinas Pendidikan Kota Semarang menunjukan kesadaran orang tua dalam memberkan stimulasi pendidikan pada usia pra Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK) sangat rendah. Mereka beranggapan hal itu hanya membuang biaya dan menghabiskan tenaga antarjemput. Kemelut permasalahan Pendidikan untuk Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) yang kompleks itulah, mengantarkan Luluk Elyana meraih gelar doktor Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Senin (11/9).

Riset untuk disertasi doktoral yang berjudul Model Good School Governance dalam Memediasi Kepemimpinan, Kemitraan Orang Tua, Kemitraan Pemilik terhadap Kinerja Pos PAUD ini telah dibedah pada sidang ujian promosi UNNES kampus Kelud.

Permasalahan utamanya terletak pada pelayanan penyelenggaraan pendidikan usia dini yang tidak merata. Sebagian besar jenjang usia 2-4 tahun belum mendapat layanan pendidikan usia dini yang bermutu dan merata. Padahal dalam Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 pasal 31 ayat 1 menjamin warga negara mendapatkan pendidikan yang layak.

Wakil Gubernur Jawa Tengah Taj Yasin Maimoen menyebut UNNES sebagai perguruan tinggi yang baik di Jawa Tengah. Artinya UNNES harus mampu menhasilkan lulusan yang kritis dan peduli terhadap masalah-masalah sosial disekitarnya terutama di Jawa Tengah. Kedepan diharapkan lebih banyak lulusan-lulusan UNNES yang mengabdi di Jawa Tengah, sehingga pembangunan dan kualitas hidup masyarakat Jawa Tengah meningkat.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menjelaskan, Luluk Elyana adalah mahasiswa sangat peka dengan lingkungan, karena pendidikan anak usia dini sangat penting. Ia serius memperhatikan setiap komponen pendidikan anak usia dini, termasuk para pendidiknya agar mereka lebih bersemangat menyiapkan generasi masa depan.
