Setidaknya ada dua nasihat yang diberikan oleh Prof Dr Tri Marhaeni Pudji Astuti MHum kepada para “adik kelasnya” di SD Sindurejo 1 Toroh, Grobogan. Pertama, soal pentingnya bertanya saat pelajaran dan kedua, ikhwal perlunya selalu membaca.

Hadir dalam program Professor Goes to School, Sabtu (7/12), di SD Sindurejo 1, profesor sosiologi gender FIS itu masuk ke kelas VI. Selama hampir satu jam pelajaran, penulis sejumlah buku sosiologi dan gender itu menjadi “guru tiban”.

Baginya, SD Sindurejo 1 bukanlah sekolah baru. Pada dekade 70-an, selama enam tahun, dia menuntut ilmu di sekolah itu. Penggalan kisah bersekolah di SD yang berada di tepi jalan Purwodadi-Solo itu yang ia ungkap kembali di kelas. Alhasil, anak-anak pun dibuat seperti mendengar dongeng sebelum tidur, meski sesekali tawa pecah di antara puluhan anak-anak yang pagi itu mengenakan seragam pramuka.

Kepada anak-anak, Prof Marhaeni bercerita bahwa dia pernah duduk di salah satu bangku di kelas itu. “Dulu lantainya dari tanah, sekarang sudah berkeramik. Tapi kayu-kayunya, jendela, dan pintunya masih seperti yang dulu,” katanya mengenang.

Dia juga bercerita, sering mendapat tugas mengambil pasir dari kali untuk menguruk sekolah ini. Semua dia lokoni dengan rasa senang. Diceritakan pula, untuk sampai di sekolah, dia harus berjalan kaki sekitar 2 km. Jalan tanah yang becek setelah hujan turun menjadi tantangan tersendiri. “Ada yang dari Bandungharjo?” tanya Prof Marhaeni yang disambut acungan beberapa anak. “Bagaimana jalannya?” tanya dia lagi yang segera disahut hampir semua warga kelas, “Jelek!” “Ya, apalagi dulu. Tapi Bu Haeni setiap pagi harus berjalan kaki dari sana ke sekolah ini. Tidak ada antarjemput seperti sekarang. Lebih-lebih pada hari Sabtu. Sebentar sampai rumah, setelah makan langsung balik lagi ke sekolah untuk latihan Pramuka,” kisahnya.
Namun berangkat dari jerih payah itu, kini dia telah meraih derajat tertinggi di dunia akademik, jadi seorang profesor. “Jadi, tidak ada kata tidak mungkin. Dari sekolah di desa seperti ini juga bisa lahir seorang profesor,” tutur Prof Marhaeni.

Pelajaran yang berlangsung hampir satu jam dalam balutan tanya jawab dan tawa anak-anak itu pun kental sekali dengan motivasi. Prof Marhaeni memang menekankannya. Tanpa kesungguhan dan kerja keras, tak mungkin cita-cita akan tergapai. Secara khusus, dia juga menekankan untuk membiasakan diri bertanya saat pembelajaran. “Jangan diam saja. Bertanya itu sangat perlu saat kita belajar. Dengan bahasa yang sopan, dengan terlebih dahulu tunjuk jari, jangan ragu-ragu untuk bertanya kepada bapak atau ibu guru,” pesannya kepada “adik kelas”.

Keluar dari kelas VI, Prof Marhaeni kemudian berceramah di hadapan 50-an guru yang tergabung dalam Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) Kecamatan Toroh. Kepada mereka, dia berbicara tentang implementasi Kurikulum 2013. “Ini bukan yang pertama bagi Prof Marhaeni di sini. Beberapa kali beliau ke sini untuk berdiskusi dengan teman-teman guru soal berbagai hal di bidang pendidikan,” kata Kepala SD Sindurejo 1, Karsidi SPd MPd.

    Prof dari FIK “goes to school” mengajar Penjasorkes kok belum pernah ada beritanya, belum ada rencana atau tunggu jadwal mainnya? Saya menunggu infonya ya……..

    Bagus sekali. Kira-kira kapan ya para Profesor tersbut sampai ke daerah yang terpencil dan mengajar di sekolah Madrasah?
    Semoga Madrasah juga dapat merasakan program tersebut.

    Prof. Tandiyo dari FIK beritanya sudah ada dikoran suara merdeka hari ini, rabu, 11 des 2013, mohon semua catatan dan rekaman semua profesor dari segala bidang keilmuan dlm keg professor goes to school bisa dibukukan shg menjadi inspirasi bagi yang lain.
