“Namanya siapa?”
“Nama saya Birute.”
“Asal dari mana?”
“Asal saya dari Lithuania.”
“Kamu artis ya?”
“Ya saya artis kecil-kecilan.”

Itulah petikan dialog antara Penanggung jawab Darmasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Yusro Edy Nugroho MHum dan Birute Steponenaite, darmasiswa Unnes asal Lithuania, saat “Welcoming Party of Darmasiswa Program Semarang State University 2013” di loby Rektorat Unnes kampus Sekaran, Rabu (4/9).

Birute, artis yang sering membintangi beberapa film hollywood, diantaranya Transsiberian, War And Peace, dan beberapa judul lain ini merupakan satu di antara 20 orang dari 16 negara yang akan belajar budaya dan seni Indonesia di Unnes.

“Mereka belajar di Unnes melalui program Darmasiswa Republik Indonesia di bawah naungan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemdikbud),” kata Yusro.

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan (PR III) Unnes Prof Masrukhi dalam sambutannya mengucapkan selamat datang kepada para mahasiswa asing itu, “tentu kami menyambut dengan gembira kehadiran Saudara-saudara di kampus Konservasi ini, “ kata Prof Masrukhi seraya berharap seluruh mahasiswa asing yang belajar di Unnes dapat menikmati seluruh kegiatan belajarnya.

Selain penyematan tanda peserta Darmasiswa Unnes oleh PR III, pada acara yang juga dihadiri Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik Dr Agus Wahyudin, Dekan, dan beberapa pejabat unnes lainnya itu dimeriahkan tari ngoser mbanyumasan oleh mahasiswa Unnes yang diikuti beberapa mahasiswa asing itu.

Seperti diberitakan dilaman ini kemarin (3/9), di awal kedatangannya, para mahasiswa asing diberikan orientasi oleh pihak International Office Unnes.
