Sebanyak 15 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) mengikuti program praktik pengalaman lapangan (PPL) antarbangsa yang diselenggarakan antara perguruan tinggi tersebut dengan Universitas Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Malaysia.

Mereka akan diterjunkan di sekolah mitra UPSI diantaranya di SMKA Slim River untuk jurusan Bimbingan Konseling dan Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, MRSM Selda (Trolak) untuk (Pendidikan Matematika, Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Pendidikan Olahraga), SK Methodist Tanjong Malim (PGSD),

Kemudian, Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjong Malim (Pendidikan Olahraga, Musik), SMK Khir Johari Tanjong Malim (Bimbingan Konseling, Pendidikan Olalahraga), SAM (sekolah agama) Rowang (Pendidikan Akuntansi, Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris), dan MRSM Kuala Kubu Bharu (Pendidikan Matematika).

Mahasiswa itu adalah Edwindhana Mareza Putra, Santi Nur Oktafiani keduanya jurusan Bimbingan Konseling Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP); Rahma Huda Putranto, Ahmad Saiful Mirza (PGSD-FIP); Raeni, Mia Liliawati (Pendidikan Akuntansi-FE); Arista Puji Oktafiatun, Rani Bastiyani, Akhmad Jalu Wijayanto (PJKR-FIK).

Kemudian, Shofiayuningtyas Luftiani Yusuf, Wella Pasca Emillidha (Pendidikan Matimatika-FMIPA); Dani Nur Saputra (Pendidikan Seni Musik-FBS); Nafis Azmi Amrullah (Pendidikan Bahasa Arab-FBS); Fatimah Abdurrahman Shahab dan Septima Dewi Putri P (Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris-FBS).

“Mereka melakukan praktik mengajar di Malaysia selama dua bulan. Dan ini merupakan tahun pertama program PPL Antarbangsa diselenggarakan,” kata Rektor Unnes Prof Fathur Rokhman saat melepas mahasiswa PPL Antarbangsa (5/7) di rektorat kampus Sekaran.

Rektor juga mengemukakan program seperti ini sangat bagus karena antara Unnes dengan UPSI Malaysia dapat saling bertukar informasi dan pengalaman bagi mahasiswa di kedua belah pihak yang merupakan calon guru. PPL di Malaysia akan memberikan pengalaman yang tidak di dapat di Indonesia. Perbedaan budaya, cuaca tidak menjadi soal karena dari perbedaan itulah yang menambah pengetahuan para mahasiswa.

Rektor menambahkan, PPL Antarbangsa ini merupakan upaya untuk mempersiapkan calon guru yang professional dan berkualitas.

Kepala Pusat Pengembangan PPL Unnes melaporkan pelaksanaan PPL mulai 8 Juli sampai dengan 7 September 2013. Tanggal 9 Juli pembekalan di UPSI, dan tanggal 10 Juli mahasiswa diterjunkan ke sekolah mitra.
