Tarian “Golek Manis” oleh enam mahasiswa asing peserta program Darmasiswa .menandai berakhirnya masa studi mereka di Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes).

Mereka membawakan tarian itu dalam acara penutupan dan pameran karya Darmasiswa, Rabu (25/6), di halaman parkir auditorium kampus Sekaran.

Mereka, yang selama ini berlatih di bawah asuhan Dra Malarsih MPd, tampak lemah gemulai saat membawakan tarian itu. Sesekali senyuman mereka dari bibir mereka untuk pengunjung yang memadati tempat itu.

Mereka yang terlibat dalam program darmasiswa yakni Amin Batoory dari Afganistan, Peter Kovacs (Hongaria), Muhammadiffat Pathan (Thailand), Angela (Amerika), Arunarsirakul Wu Manli (Tiongkok), Zhou Hailan (Tiongkok), dan Krisztina Hoppal (Hongaria). Selain itu,  Helen June Frances Edmund (Inggris), Tachizaki Asuka (Jepang), Birute Steponenaite (Lithuania) Kamila Bruczynska (Polnadia), Guida Maria Gomes Carvalho (Portugal), Nattaporn Kwanthong (Thailand), dan Mong Ly Thu (Vietnam).

Dalam sambutannya, Rektor Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman menyampaikan apresiasi kepada mereka yang telah belajar di Unnes sampai selesai. Total mahasiswa darmasiswa 22 mahasiswa, delapan mahasiswa sudah menyelesaikan dengan program 6 bulan, dan 14 mahasiswa ini mengikuti program satu tahun.

“Pertama kali mereka menginjakkan kali di Indonesia, khususnya di Unnes, pasti tidak kerasan karena belum paham tentang Indonesia apalagi mengucapkan ‘sugeng injing’ seperti tadi (menirukan Angela salah satu mahasiswa Darmasiswa),” kata Prof Fathur.

Tapi hari ini mereka sudah fasih mengucapkan bahasa Indonesia, bahkan bahasa Jawa dan memamerkan hasil karyanya berupa batik, lukisan, dan majalah dinding. “Selain belajar membatik, juga belajar budaya dan seni,” jelas Prof Fathur.

Perkembangan satu tahun sangat luar biasa, kata Prof Fathur, karena model pembelajarannya berbasis sosiokultural. Dengan begitu mereka terlibat dalam seluruh ranah di kampus ini dalam kegiatan kemahasiswaan, akademik, dan kegiatan lainnya.

“Budaya luar negeri dengan Indonesia itu berbeda, seperti Angela tadi bahwa saya sekarang bisa menjadi orang ‘kaya’. Dalam arti kaya di luar negeri diukur dengan harta, namun ukuran kaya di Indonesia bisa dari pengalaman, ilmu, kesantunan, kebersamaan, dan karamahtamahan,” tegas Prof Fathur.

Koordinator program mahasiswa darmasiswa Unnes Yusro Edy Nugroho SS MHum di sela-sela kegiatan menyampaikan Closing Ceremony & Pameran Darmasiswa itu merupakan kegiatan rutin bagian akhir dari program darmasiswa Unnes.

Dia juga mengemukakan, setelah belajar satu tahun mereka diminta untuk mendisplai, memamerkan apa yang telah mereka kerjakan hasilnya seperti berupa batik, ukiran, keramil, tarian, majalah dinding, hasil bahasa Indonesia, dan semuanya itu sebagai wujud dari produk yang mereka buat.

“Ini biar menjadi pemicu bagi orang-orang Indonesia juga untuk mencintai budayanya sendiri,” kata Yusro.

Harapan ke depan, lanjutnya, pemerintah dengan program darmasiswa ini sebagai program stimulus yakni setiap perguruan tinggi mempunyai mahasiswa asing sekitar 5% . “Makin ke depan jumlahnya makin dikurangi. Untuk Unnes sendiri, malah semakin besar jumlahnya karena mahasiswanya dicari sendiri oleh Unnes melalui program international office.”

    maju terus Darmasiswa Unnes …. semoga di tahun berikutnya, tak sekadar batik atau tarian yang ditampilkan, namun kolaborasi matakuliah bahasa Indonesia seperti menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis pun juga menyuguhkan sebuah tampilan yang dikemas secara apik dalam sebuah pementasan minidrama maupun tampilan yang lain…. mari para pengajar Darmasiswa, selalu berinovasi agar Darmasiswa Unnes semakin “tak mampu ke lain hati”, serta senantiasa selalu mengingat Unnes saat mereka sudah kembali ke negaranya.
