Indonesia harus mempersiapkan diri untuk pelaksanaan Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN 2015.

Direktur Perundingan Perdagangan Jasa Direktorat Jenderal Kerjasama Perdagangan Internasional Kementerian Perdagangan, Sondang Anggraini MA, mengatakan ada beberapa manfaat yang bisa didapatkan negara-negara ASEAN khususnya Indonesia, saat MEA ini berlangsung.

Di antaranya, penurunan biaya perjalanan transportasi, menurunkan secara cepat biaya telekomunikasi, meningkatkan jumlah pengguna internet, informasi yang akan semakin mudah dan cepat diperoleh, juga meningkatnya investasi dan lapangan kerja.

“Dalam perdagangan jasa, MEA dapat meningkatkan kinerja ekonomi dan memberikan kesempatan untuk meningkatkan ekspor tradisional atau baru,” ujar dia dalam acara Edukasi Publik Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN Tahun 2015 di Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) kampus Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang, Senin (9/6).

Menurut dia, hal yang perlu dilakukan pemerintah saat ini yaitu mengembangkan kurikulum pendidikan yang sesuai dengan MEA dan kebijakan umum pengembangan sektor jasa nasional.

“Liberalisasi perdagangan jasa sangat berisiko, oleh karena itu peraturan yang benar dan kebijakan-kebijakan tambahan lain sangat penting untuk memberikan kepastian agar dapat memberikan keuntungan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan,” jelasnya di hadapan ratusan mahasiswa dan dosen Fakultas Ekonomi Unnes itu.

Sektor Swasta

Selain pemerintah, sektor swasta juga perlu melakukan persiapan jelang masuknya pasar bebas ini, seperti mempelajari semua komitmen yang telah disepakati antar negara ASEAN, meningkatkan kemampuan (efisiensi dan daya saing) dari pasokan jasa yang disediakan, mengantisipasi masuknya investor asing, mengantisipasi pergerakan tenaga kerja.

“Hambatan yang dihadapi oleh pekerja Indonesia untuk bekerja di negara ASEAN adalah mengenai bahasa dan perbedaan peraturan kerja, maka perlu ditingkatkan kemampuan bahasa dan pemahaman aturan di negara-negara ASEAN,” tandas dia.

Saat membuka acara, Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Prof Fathur Rokhman MHum mengatakan kompetisi kerja di masa depan akan semakin ketat menyusul masuknya Indonesia dalam Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN 2015.

Dijelaskan Prof Fathur, Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN 2015 merupakan episode baru persaingan jasa secara bebas di mana para pekerja asing akan bebas masuk ke Indonesia dan bersaing dengan tenaga kerja dalam negeri.

“Realita tersebut menjadi sebuah tantangan yang harus dihadapi siapa saja, termasuk mahasiswa Unnes secara khusus,” katanya.
