Kekerasan terhadap etnis Rohingya menuai keprihatinan publik, demikian dengan Fakultas Hukum (FH) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) atas tragedi di Myanmar tersebut. Para akademisi FH UNNES yang tergabung dalam Pusat Studi Asean (PSA) mengutuk tragedi yang menimpa warga dan pengungsi Rohingya di Rakhine Myanmar.

Ketua PSA FH UNNES, Sonny S. Wicaksono mengatakan, berdasarkan hasil kajian PSA FH UNNES mengungkap, tragedi Rohingya murni permasalahan kemanusiaan yang dipicu akibat konflik dalam negeri Myanmar bukan masalah SARA (Suku, Agama, Ras, dan Antar Golongan), Senin (4/09) di GSG FH UNNES.

Sonny menjelaskan, tragedi Rohingya murni permasalahan kemanusiaan, tidak ada kaitanya soal agama di sana. Untuk itu kami menghimbau masyarakat Indonesia agar tidak terprovokasi adanya giringan isu SARA.

Sonny menambahkan, berdasarkan laporan Un Office of The High Commisioner for Human Rights (UNHCR) PBB hingga September 2017 serta lembaga lainnya, setidaknya ribuan korban jiwa tewas akibat konflik tersebut.

Dekan FH, Dr Rondiyah SPd SH MSi menyampaikan, pihaknya menilai bahwa tragedi dan konflik kemanusiaan di Myanmar merupakan tragedi kemanusiaan terburuk yang pernah terjadi di Kawasan Asia Tenggara kurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir.

Selanjutnya Dekan FH membacakan Pointers Pernyataan Sikap atas tragedi kemanusiaan terhadap pengungsi rohingnya di myanmar sebagai berikut:

  1. Mengutuk perbuatan pemerintah Myanmar yang telah melakukan kejahatan internasional berupa pembunuhan secara massal (genocide) terhadap pengungsi Rohingya di Rakhine Myanmar.
  2. Mendorong dan mendukung penuh kebijakan Pemerintah Indonesia melalui Kementerian Luar Negeri untuk pro aktif menyelesaikan tragedi kemanusiaan Rohingya di Rakhine Myanmar.
  3. Tragedi Rohingnya adalah murni permasalahan kemanusiaan, untuk itu kami menghimbau Masyarakat Indonesia untuk tidak terprovokasi dan menggiring kepada isu SARA (Suku, Agama, Ras dan Antar Golongan) maupun informasi yang tidak dapat dipertanggungjawabkan kebenarannya sehingga dapat menimbulkan situasi yang tidak kondusif.
  4. Mengajak seluruh komponen dan elemen masyarakat Indonesia untuk bersatu memberikan dukungan baik moril maupun materiil kepada korban tragedi kemanusiaan di Rakhine Myanmar.
  5. Mendorong peran aktif negara-negara anggota ASEAN dan PBB melalui organ-organnya untuk turut serta berpartisipasi dan segera bertindak dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan tragedi kemanusiaan pengungsi Rohingya di Myanmar.

Dengan pernyataan sikap ini FH UNNES akan medorong negara-negara ASEAN dan PBB melalui organ-organya untuk turut serta berpartisipasi dan segera bertindak secara nyata dalam menyelesaikan tragedi kemanusiaan pengungsi Rohingya di Myanmar.
