Ada lima kabar gembira yang disampaikan Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum dalam upacara puncak Dies Natalis ke-49. Kabar gembira itu menjadi pelengkap kebahagiaan civitas akademika di tengah prestasi yang telah dicapai selama  tahun 2013.

Pertama, peminat yang telah mendaftarkan diri dalam Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN) telah mencapai 45.000. Jika dibandingkan perguruan tinggi negeri eks-IKIP lain, peminat Unnes adalah yang tertinggi di Indonesia. Selain itu, Unnes cenderung menjadi pilihan pertama dengan rasioa 60:40. Para pendaftar itu berasal dari 33 provinsi di Indonesia. Bahkan, tahun ini sejumlah peminat berasal dari beberapa negara di Asia.

Kabar baik kedua, hingga hari ini pendaftar program Bidikmisi telah melampaui 15.000 orang, lebih banyak dari tahun lalu. “Data ini meneguhkan bahwa Unnes adalah kampus rakyat, kampus yang membuka pintu lebar-lebar bagi si miskin untuk belajar, attau surganya Bidikmisi. Komitmen Unnes untuk menyediakan setidaknya 20% bangku bagi si miskin akan terus dijaga. Bahkan persentasenya telah mencapai 26%.”

Kabar baik ketiga, program Professors Go to Schools yang dibidani Unnes telah sukses digelar dan mendapat respons positif dari berbagai kalangan, termasuk media. Karena itu, tahun ini program itu dilanjutkan ke program yang lebih luas jangkauannya, yaitu program Professors and Doctors Go to Schools.

“Melalui program ini, para profesor dan doktor Unnes akan mendampingi sekolah di 35 provinsi di Jawa Tengah yang mengimplementasikan Kurikulum 2013 sekaligus menginspirasi calon generasi emas. Secara resmi, program ini telah diresmikan Bapak Wamendikbud, Sabtu 15 Maret 2014 lalu, di kampus Sekaran,” katanya.

Kabar baik keempat, Unnes telah sukses mengimplementasikan program doktorisasi dosen dengan dana Islamic Development Bank (IDB) 2013.  Ada 16 dosen yang saat ini belajar S3 di Australia, Cina, Jepang, Inggris, Mesir, dan Selandia Baru. Unnes akan memanen doktor ini mulai tahun 2016. Dan kami yakin, mereka akan menjadi barisan baru yang mendukung pencapaian visi internasional Unnes pada 2020.

Kabar baik kelima, kini Unnes merancang kurikulum internasional. Pada 2015 nanti akan ada 10 program studi yang akan menggunakan kurikulum internasional.

“Kurikulum internasional adalah aspek penting universitas internasional, selain  akreditasi program studi secara internasional, proses belajar mengajar berstandar internasional, serta didukung teknologi informasi dan komunikasi,” terang Rektor.

    Provinsi kok minum provinsi……Kurikulum 2013 saja belum ada yg melaksanakan, lha kok Kurikulum 2014, kurikulum mana pula ini……..

  6. Selamat atas capaian yg telah diraih. Namun selain kabar gembira, ada pula kabar duka di penghujung tahun 2013, dg dikeluarkannya perpres 88/2013. Saya tergelitik saat pak menteri orasi. Mengapa yg selalu ditonjolkan APK? Kemudian mengapa kita selalu berorientasi pd banyaknya jml mahasiswa. Jml penerimaan mahasiswa ditingkatkan tetapi jml dosen tidak. Yg terjadi adalah rombel yg kelebihan beban. Akibatnya, kualitas jadi dipertanyakan.

    Salut buat Unnes! Namun penggunaan istilah “si miskin” cenderung melecehkan.
    Komputerisasi presensi mohon jangan setengah-setengah, ini gagasan baik yang wajib dilanjutkan.

    Sedikit miris jika saudaraku teman2 dipanggil “Si Miskin”.. bisa di ubah saudara-saudara yang miskin, terlalu jatuh harkat martabat jika terus di julukan panggilan “SI MISKIN”
    saya berpikir bahwa tidak ada satu orangpun yang mau hidup miskin dengan derajat itu.. olehnya kata SI MSIKIN bisa gk di ganti dengan Saudaraku yang Miskin
