Para wisudawan bukan menjadi barisan baru pengangguran terdidik, bukan pula menjadi sumber masalah bagi negara-bangsa ini, apalagi pencari masalah dan sekadar memasalahkan masalah. Maka jadilah insan-insan pemecah masalah.

Demikian harapan Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Sudijono Sastroatmodjo MSi saat memberi sambutan pada upacara wisuda periode I tahun 2012 di auditorium kampus Sekaran, Selasa (24/4).

Unnes pada wisuda periode I tahun 2012 ini, telah meluluskan sebanyak 1.861 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 12 doktor (S3), 124 magister (S2), 1.673 sarjana (S1), dan 52 ahli madya (D3). Sebagai penyandang wisudawan terbaik pada wisuda kali ini adalah Sulaiman dari S3 Pendidikan Olahraga dengan IPK 3,96, A Sri Haryati dari S3 Manajemen Kependidikan (3,88), Muhammad Iqbal Birsyada dari S2 Pendidikan IPS (3,87).

Sedangkan untuk S1 dan D3 yakni Pangestika Tuhu Kristanti dari S1 PBSID (Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Jawa) IPK 3,80, Noviani Achmad Putri dari S1 Pendidikan Sosiologi dan Antropologi (3,77), dan Novella dari D3 Teknik Sipil (3,60).

“Kehadiran lulusan ini merupakan salah satu wujud tanggung jawab Unnes kepada bangsa dan negara Indonesia, terutama dalam upaya mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, sekaligus wujud karya utama universitas ini,” kata Prof Sudijono.

Rektor juga mengatakan wisuda kali ini menjadi demikian berarti di tengah-tengah makin banyak dan menanjaknya prestasi universitas ini, serta pengakuan dari berbagai pihak, terutama dari Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Kepercayaan yang diberikan Unnes itu antara lain penyelenggaraan Pendidikan dan Latihan Profesi Guru (PLPG) tahun lalu untuk 13 kota/kabupaten di Jawa Tengah, tahun 2012 ini bertambah menjadi 30 kota/kabupaten sebagian berada di Jawa Barat.

Selain dipercaya mengemban tambahan penyelenggaraan PLPG, lanjut Prof Sudijono, Unnes tahun ini juga dipercaya menjadi perguruan tinggi pembina dari beberapa dosen di berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia, menjadi koordinator wilayah pelaksanaan Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN) meliputi Jateng, DIY, Jabar, DKI, Banten, Kalimantan Barat, Bangka Belitung, dan Kepulauamn Riau.

Prof Sudijono juga mengemukakan, kepercayaan yang diberikan Unnes juga pada pelaksanaan Ujian Nasional (UN) SMA dan sederajat melibatkan PTN-PTS di Jateng, pelaksanaan program maju bersama mencerdaskan Indonesia mulai dari merekrut, mempersiapkan, memberangkatkan peserta Sarjana Mendidik di Daerah Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal (SM-3T) ke Aceh dan Papua.

“Kepercayaan dari masyarakat baru-baru ini terlihat dari besarnya animo untuk mendaftarkan diri ke Unnes pada SNMPTN Jalur Undangan, dari segi jumlah pendaftar Unnes termasuk 10 besar dari 92 PTN di Indonesia atau peringkat pertama terbanyak pendaftar di antara universitas negeri eks-IKIP,” katanya.
