Ada fenomena bahwa Indeks Prestasi komulatif (IPK) diatas 3.50 sering gagap saat masuk lapangan kerja sehingga perlu penyesuaian diri lebih baik agar tidak gagal. Mahasiswa cenderung asyik dengan dunia mahasiswa sehingga kurang mempersiapkan diri ketika lulus untuk mencari pekerjaan.

Demikian dikatan Ketua Lembaga Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Profesi (LP3) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr DYP Sugiharto MPp Kons saat membuka Job Fair Unnes 2012 yang berlangsung dua hari Selasa dan Rabu (15-16 Maei) di auditorium kampus Sekaran, Selasa (15/5).

“Masa krisis mahasiswa memang pada waktu transisi yakni masa lulus dengan masa memasuki dunia kerja. Perkembangan-perkembangan informasi dari berbagai sumber seringkali menyebabkan para lulusan gagap informasi tentang dunia kerja. Gagap informasi ini adalah awal kekalahan dalam berkompetisi dalam dunia keja,” kata Prof DYP.

Dia juga mengatakan memang ada suasana psikologis antara dunia kuliah dan dunia kerja, sehingga proses penyesuaian diri dalam memasuki dunia kerja menjadi tidak begitu cepat seperti yang diharapkan. “Oleh karena itu pengisian di masa transisi ini suatu kebutuhan mendesak maka secara kelembagaan di Unnes dibentuk Pusat Layanan Konseling dan Bursa Kerja (PPLK-BK),” ujarnya.

Prof DYP mengemukakan, daya serap lulusan sebuah perguruan tinggi di dunia kerja merupakan indikator keberhasilan perguruan tinggi. “Namun selama ini kami kesulitan mendapatkan data laporan tersebut dari mitra yang bekerja sama dalam mengadan job fair. Untuk itu, agar kami punya data seberapa jumlah lulusan yang telah terserap kami mohon dalam kerja sama ini bisa disinergiskan,” tandasnya.

Ketua Pelaksana Job Fair Ricky Januar Djajasaputra mengatakan job fair ini diikuti 30 perusahaan lebih dari berbagai perusahaan antara lain dari farmasi, ritail, otomotif, perbankan, outsourcing, dan lainnya. “Para perusahaan kebanyakan memberi kemudahan kepada para pencari kerja, karena langsung memasukkan lamaran dan interview di tempat ini,” katanya.

Sebelum kegiatan dimulai terlebih dahulu diawali dengan penandatanganan perjanjian kerjasama antara Lembaga Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Profesi (LP3) Unnes dengan PT Askar Adi Andaka. Perjanjian kerjasama itu ditandatangani oleh kedua pihak, yakni Ketua LP3 Prof Dr DYP Sugiharto MPd Kons dan Direktur Utama PT Askar Andi Andaka Ricky Januar Djajasaputra di ruang rapat rektor.
