Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) semakin menjadi incaran para pelajar yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikan mereka ke peguruan tinggi. Hal itu terbukti dari antusiasme yang ditunjukkan 250 siswa SMA Negeri 28 Kabupaten Tangerang  Propinsi Banten saat berkunjung ke Unnes, Kamis (23/5) di Auditorium Kampus Sekaran Gunungpati

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, mereka menanyakan jalur masuk, cara mendaftar, hingga kuota yang disediakan dalam penerimaan mahasiswa baru 2015. Rombongan yang dipimpin Kepala Sekolah Drs Susanto itu diterima Kepala Biro Administrasi Akademik Kemahasiswaan dan Kerja Sama (BAAKK) Drs Heri Kismaryono MM dan sejumlah pejabat lainnya.

Menanggapi pertanyaan itu, Heri Kismaryono menyampaikan, tahun ini Unnes menyediakan 6.160 kursi dalam penerimaan mahasiswa baru. Kursi sebanyak itu bakal diperebutkan lewat Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN), Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN), dan Seleksi Penerimaan Mahasiswa Unnes (SPMU).

“Setiap PTN tetap harus menyediakan 50 persen kuota daya tampungnya melalui SNMPTN yang didasarkan pada nilai rapor, dan prestasi lainnya. Adapun SBMPTN didasarkan pada tes tertulis atau keterampilan, sedangkan SPMU didasarkan pada mekanisme yang ditetapkan oleh PTN masing-masing,” jelas Heri.

Mengenai biaya pendaftaran, kata Heri, pada SNMPTN semua pendaftar dibebaskan dari segala biaya. Sementara SBMPTN, para pendaftar harus membayar  Rp 100 ribu yang dibayarkan melalui Bank Mandiri dan Bank BNI terdekat, “sedangkan seleksi mendiri, biaya pendaftaran bergantung pada ketentuan tiap-tiap perguruan tinggi,” paparnya.

Heri juga menambahkan, sebagian besar mahasiswa Unnes akan diterima lewat SNMPTN. “Lewat SNMPTN akan kami terima 3.049 mahasiswa dari kuota keseluruhan. Sisanya, 1.823 orang melalui SBMPTN dan 1288 orang lewat SPMU, “ tutup Heri.
