Riset merupakan ruh dari tri dharma perguruan tinggi, yang mampu mewarnai budaya akademik di peguruan tinggi. Untuk itu Unnes terus didorong agar mampu menjadi pendidikan tinggi berbasis riset.

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menyampaikan itu saat membuka Kuliah Umum Mahasiswa Baru Program Pascasarjana Unnes, Senin (28/9) di Hotel Patra Jasa.

Budaya akademik membangun karakter itu untuk kejujuran, kreativitas, pemikiran kritis, inovatif dan keterbukaan terhadap masukan dan kritik. Untuk itu hendari fabrikasi (data fiktif), falsifikasi (manipulasi data), dan plagiasi (mengutip data atau pernyataan orang lain tanpa menyantumkan sumber), saran Prof Fathur.

Direktur PPs Unnes Prof Dr Achmad Slamet melaporkan, kegiatan ini mengusung tema Mewujudkan Mutu Riset dan Perilaku Berkarakter untuk Membangun Rumah Ilmu, diikuti 915 mahasiswa baru dan lama.

Staf Ahli Bidang Akademik Menristek Dikti Prof Dr Paulina Panen MLs sebagai nara sumber menyampaikan, Angka Partipasi Kasar (APK) Pendidikan Tinggi di Indonesia baru mencapai angka 30 persen, dengan jumlah mahasiswa mencapai 6,8 juta, yang tersebar di 4.277 perguruan tinggi.

Sedangkan perbandingan jumlah peneliti di Indonesia hanya 544 orang per 1 juta penduduk. Jumlah tersebut masih kalah jauh dibanding Turkey (1.730 peneliti), China (1.285), Jepang (7.021), Malaysia (2.384), Singapura (7.199), dan Brasil (1.203).

Hal senada juga disampaikan Wakil Ketua DPR RI Dr Agus Hermanto, bahwa saat ini Indonesia tidak hanya mengalami krisis ekonomi namun juga krisis peneliti.

Dr Agus Hermanto juga menyampaikan, dari survey LIPI pada 2005, rasio peneliti di Indonesia hanya 90 orang per satu juta penduduk. Di negara yang relatif maju, idealnya terdapat 700 hingga 5.000 peneliti per satu juta penduduk.

Salah satu cara untuk mendorong jumlah peneliti di Indonesia, yakni dengan menciptakan perguruan tinggi yang mampu menetaskan peneliti baru, bukan hanya sekadar lulusan untuk mencari lapangan pekerjaan, kata Dr Agus Hermanto.

ini tertuang dalam UU No 20/2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, bahwa perguruan tinggi berkewajiban menyelenggarakan penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat disamping melaksanakan pendidikan, jelasnya.

    Akan tetapi di bidang olahraga masih banyak ide-ide pengembangan yg di pandang sebelah mata, terkadang saya pribadi sbg insan olahraga sangat menyayangkan hal itu, ide pengembangan olahraga sangat penting padahal krn prestasi olahraga nasional sangat berperan andil dlm pembanguna bangsa yg bermartabat.
    Lalu masih banyak jg proposal2 penelitian yg lolos di biayai di dominasi oleh para peneliti yg mengenal dekat dg petinggi2 yg menyeleksi proposal (lembaga2 penelitian), kita meneliti bukan untuk money oriented tp meneliti untuk membangun dan membenahi hipotesis agar menjadi lebih baik sesekali beri kesempatan kpd yg lain agar memperoleh pengalaman dlm meneliti dan mereallisasikan ide-ide krearifnya.
