Sebanyak 157 peneliti bahasa dan sastra dari berbagai lembaga di Indonesia mengikuti Konferensi Bahasa dan Sastra III di Hotel Santika Premiere Semarang, Selasa (16/10). Selama konferensi mereka akan mempresentasikan gagasan dan temuan masing-masing.

Sebelum diskusi panel, konferensi dibuka dengan presentasi dari tiga pembicara utama yaitu Peter Carey (Trinity College Oxford University), Hywel Coleman (University of Leeds), dan Prof Djoko Saryono (Universitas Negeri Malang).

Ketua Panitia KBS III Suseno SPd MA mengungkapkan, konferensi ini dirancang untuk mempertemukan ahli, peneliti, dan praktisi bidang bahasa, sastra, dan pendidikan bahasa dan sastra untuk bertukar gagasan.

Melalui pertemuan ilmiah ini ia berharap gagasan dan temuan terbaru dapat dipublikasikan kepada masyarakat.

“Pada era disrupsi seperti saat ini, ilmu pengetahuan bidang bahasa dan sastra mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat. Para peneliti akan mempresentasikan temuan-temuan terbaru mereka,” lanjutnya.

Konferensi Bahasa dan Sastra merupakan agenda rutin yang diselenggarakan Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Negeri Semarang.

Pada tahun ketiga ini, KBS diselenggarakan dengan tema “Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pembelajarannya pada Era Disrupsi”. Tema ini dipilih untuk merespon perubahan disruptif di berbagai bidang, termasuk dalam bidang bahasa, sastra, dan pembelajaran.
