Harian Semarang, Jawa Pos-Radar Semarang, dan Kedaulatan Rakyat akan mengumumkan hasil Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN), terutama yang diterima di Unnes, pada edisi Kamis 30 Juni 2011. Pengumuman dalam bentuk cetak tersebut sekaligus melengkapi pengumuman secara online yang bisa diakses melalui situs resmi SNMPTN dan registrasi.unnes.ac.id.

Harian Semarang merupakan koran lokal yang terbit di kota Semarang dengan distribusi di Kota ATLAS dan sekitar sebagaimana Jawa Pos-Radar Semarang. Sedangkan Kedaulatan Rakyat merupakan harian yang terbit di Yogyakarta dengan wilayah edar Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dan Jawa Tengah.

Kepala Pusat Hubungan Masyarakat Unnes Sucipto Hadi Purnomo mengatakan, pemuatan penguman pada ketiga harian tersebut hanya merupakan penunjang. “Ya pengumuman melalui koran merupakan pelengkap pengumuman secara online lewat website resmi SNMPTN. Di koran juga kami cantumkan pengumuman tentang syarat-syarat melakukan registrasi bagi yang diterima,” katanya.

Dia juga mengemukakan, bagi para pendaftaran yang hendak melihat langsung pengumuman, pihaknya menyediakan ribuan eksemplar koran. “Kami sediakan secara cuma-cuma di kantor kami pada Kamis 30 Juni sejak pagi,” katanya.

Diingatkan pula, mereka yang tidak lolos dalam SNMPN masih berkesempatan menjadi mahasiswa baru Unnes dengan mengikuti Seleksi Penerimaan Mahasiswa Unnes (SPMU). “Demi memberikan mereka yang tidak lolos di SNMPTN, penutupan masa pendaftaran kami undur, hingga 5 Juli,” katanya seraya menambahkan, selain untuk program S1, SPMU juga dibuka untuk program D3.

“Tidak berbeda dari SNMPTN, yang diterima lewat SPMU juga masuk di kelas reguler sehingga biayanya pun sama-sama reguler,” katanya.
