Bangunan di Indonesia hendaknya tidak meniru gaya arsitektur barat. Namun, mengapa gaya khas Indonesia yang lebih ramah lingkungan makin ditinggalkan?

Demikian petikan pernyataan mahasiswa arsitektur Universitas negeri Semarang (Unnes) yang mengikuti seminar nasional “Jatidiri Arsitektur Ramah Lingkungan”, Sabtu (21/4), di graha Cendikia Fakultas Teknik (FT) Unnes kampus Sekaran. Seminar yang diselenggarakan oleh mahasiswa semester II dan IV itu dibuka oleh dekan FT Drs M Herlanu MPd dan diikuti oleh mahasiswa arsitektur dari Undip, Unika dan Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia (IAI).

“Konsep bangunan khas Indonesia seperti rumah Jawa merupakan contoh bangunan yang ramah lingkungan. Misalnya memanfaatkan cahaya matahari sebagai penerang dengan menggunakan genteng yang transparan,” kata Ir Donni  Desyandono MSi, salah seorang pembicara dalam seminar itu. Banyak bangunan di Indonesia yang tidak proporsional karena arsitek lebih mementingkan sisi art sebuah bangunan. “Seharusnya arsitek mempertimbangkan konsep bangunan ramah lingkungan,” ujar arsitek dari Green Building Council Indonesia itu.

Drs M Herlanu MPd dalam sambutannya mengatakan sangat mengapresiasi kegiatan yang diadakan oleh mahasiswa jurusan arsitek Unnes. “Saya bangga dengan kegiatan ini. Saya berharap masyarakat dan para arsitek di Indonesia memiliki perilaku green salah satunya dengan tetap bangga dan menghargai konsep bangunan khas Indonesia,” katanya.

Dua  pembicara lain dalam seminar  adalah Lim Yu Sing, seorang arsitek muda juara I Invited Competition Wika Leadership Center 2011 dan Dr Ir Titien Woro Murtini MSA, dosen dan IAI Semarang.

    bertambah pengetahuan tentang arsitektur ramah lingkungan…..pemanfaatan barang bekas dan penggunaan energi yang ramah lingkungan bisa mengurangi penggunaan SDA yang semakin habis,,,,setidaknya pengetahuan tentang green building bisa lebih ditekankan bagi arsitek maupun calon arsitek……
