Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia bagi tenaga kependidikan, Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) bekerja sama dengan Balai Bahasa Provinsi Jawa Tengah menggelar pelatihan menulis surat, Kamis (27/3) di Rektorat kampus Sekaran Gunungpati, Semarang.

Kepala Balai Bahasa Provinsi Jawa Tengah Drs Pardi Suratno MHum menyatakan, acara ini sebagai tindak lanjut nota kesepahaman antara Balai Bahasa dengan Unnes. Kerja sama nyata yang telah dilakukan dalam bentuk bantuan tenaga ahli  untuk pengembangan Balai Bahasa.

Menurut Pardi , bahasa sebagai alat Komunikasi, alat berpikir, pemersatu, identitas masyarakat dan bangsa, serta wadah kebudayaan selalu berkembang secara dinamis. Selain itu, menurutnya bahasa itu refleksi kehidupan, bahasa memproyeksi kehidupan, maka perlu dicermati segi kebakuannya.

Ia juga mengatakan, bahasa berkembang dinamis, maka masyarakat perlu mempelajari perkembangan kebahasaan, semisal kalimat, saya besok pagi akan pergi ke Jakarta, kalimat tersebut salah, yang benar, saya akan pergi ke Jakarta besok pagi, atau besok pagi, saya akan pergi ke Jakarta.

Unnes sebagai bagian masyarakat akademik, dan ditunjuk sebagai lembaga pengguna bahasa terbaik, harus bisa membantu pelaksanaan penggunaan bahasa oleh masyarakat, termasuk juga penanaman kesadaran berbahasa jawa. “Cerdas dalam meggunakan bahasa, berwibawa dalam hal kebahasaan,” ujar Pardi Suratno dihadapan tidak kurang 50 peserta.

“Terkait dengan kebijakan pengelolaan politik bahasa nasional, hasil uji kemahiran guru (UKG ) rata rata 46, Hasil Uji Kemahiran Bahasa Indonesia (UKBI) semenjana 12 %, madya 56%, sangat unggul 2 %, dan istimewa 0%,” jelasnya.

Di samping itu, masih ditemukan pemerkosaan bahasa oleh masyarakat, semisal bakso setan, rawon setan, bakso bangsat. Ia berpesan, gunakan bahasa dengan baik dan benar sesuai Ejaan Yang Disempurnakan (EYD) dan ingatlah istilah nandur pari jero, gusti ora sare, cinta ibu sepanjang jalan, cinta anak sepanjang galah, ibarat air dengan tebing, begitu juga seperti balam dan ketitiran,” tegasnya.

Sementara itu, narasumber kedua Dr Dwi Atmawati menguraikan sejumlah strategi penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar pada tata naskah dinas. Ia mengatakan bahasa yang digunakan pada naskah dinas hendaknya mencerminkan keresmian (kebakuan).

Sedangkan Prof Rustono, narasumber ketiga dari Unnes mengemukakan, pentingnya pembinaan bahasa Indonesia di perguruan tinggi. Ia menekankan pada kesalahan bahasa yang sering ditemukan dalam surat dinas, seperti kesalahan pembentukan kata, pemilihan kata, penyusunan kalimat, penataan penalaran, penerapan kaidah ejaan, dan bahasa dalam surat.
