Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Semarang (FIS UNNES) berkolaborasi dengan Fakulti Ilmu Sosial dan Kemanusiaan Universitas Kebangsaan Malaysia (FIS UKM) dalam program Conference and Cross Culture, Selasa (11/7) di Gedung C7 FIS UNNES kampus Sekaran Gunungpati.

Kegiatan dengan tema Peranan Mahasiswa dalam Membentuk Jati Diri, ini berisi seminar pengembangan diri dan pertukaran budaya antara mahasiswa Indonesia dan Malaysia.

Dekan FIS UNNES Drs Solehatul Mustofa MA saat membuka kegiatan menyampaikan, kerjasama ini merupakan hal yang senada dengan tujuan universitas untuk membuka hubungan dengan universitas luar negeri, terutama dengan universitas di kawasan ASEAN.
Dengan UKM sendiri, Solehatul Mustofa berharap nantinya program ini akan mempererat hubungan antara kedua universitas di masa mendatang.

Prof Dr Fazilah Idris pendamping mahasiswa UKM menyampaikan, student mobility program ini bertujuan untuk mengajari mahasiswa UKM untuk mengadakan sebuah acara tepatnya dengan universitas mitra di luar Malaysia.

Dipilihnya UNNES sebagai universitas tujuan karena universitas ini telah menjadi mitra bagi UKM di Indonesia.

Acara kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penandatangan Minutes of Meeting antara UNNES dan UKM. Setelah itu, kegiatan diisi dengan seminar pengembangan diri dengan pembicara dari perwakilan mahasiswa kedua Universitas. Adapun pembicara dari UKM diwakili oleh Zulkifli Zainudin, sedangkan pembicara dari UNNES diwakili oleh Nuriyanti.

Hadir 16 delegasi dari UKM terdiri atas tiga dosen pendamping Dr Rosilah, Dr Wahiza Wahi, dan Dr Fazilah Idris.

Sedangkan ke 13 mahasiswa yakni Zulkifli Zainuddin, Zulkifli Muslim, Haikal Iznan, Izwan Hazwani Binti Jaiz, Nurul Athirah Abdul Razak, Nor Akma Izzmi Binti Mohd Rozali, Ainul Izzati Binti Rosli, Nur Syazwani Fitriah Mohd Shahimi, Muhammad Syazwan Bin Sulaiman, Nur ‘Aina Fariha Binti Hj Talib, Mohammad Saadon Haron, Zahid Mohd Shukon, dan Mohd Hairul Izwan Bin Mohd Kaskan.
