Selain kuliah di kampus sendiri, mahasiswa Program Studi Akuntansi Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), baik yang lolos melalui SNMPTN, SBMPTN, maupun SPMU bisa kuliah di University of Southern Queensland (USQ) Australia. Sebab, Universitas Konservasi ini telah menyepakati program double degree dengan salah satu universitas terbaik di Australia tersebut.

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik Unnes Dr Agus Wahyudin MSi menyampaikan, peserta double degree akan menempuh pendidikan semester pertama hingga keempat di Unnes. Dua semester berikutnya mahasiswa akan kuliah di USQ. ”Lalu semester ke-7 dan ke-8 mahasiswa kembali ke Unnes,” terang Agus, Selasa (2/7).

Program double degree dapat diikuti oleh mahasiswa baru angkatan 2013. Syaratnya, mahasiswa memiliki skor IELTS paling tidak 6,5.
”Syarat adminsitratif lainnya akan diumumkan setelah mahasiswa angkatan 2013 melakukan registrasi,” lanjutnya.

”Baik di Australia maupun di masyarakat internasional, reputasi USQ sangat baik. Kami telah melakukan penjajakan dan tentu saja kami memilih yang terbaik,” tambah Agus.

Sebagai catatan, seleksi masuk ke Unnes hingga kini masih dibuka. Jalur Seleksi Penerimaan Mahasiswa Unnes (SPMU) 2013 telah dibuka sejak 20 Juni dan baru akan ditutup pada 16 Juli.

Bunga ke China

Tidak hanya dengan USQ, Unnes juga melakukan kerja sama dengan berbagai universitas di dunia untuk memfasilitasi mahasiswanya.
Bunga Amelia, mahasiswa Jurusan Kimia FMIPA, misalnya, telah mengikuti Conference on Pharmaceutical Ingredients (CPHI) 2013 di Shanghai, China, 23-29 Juni lalu.

CPHI diselenggarakan Borobudur Natural Herbal Industry untuk mempertemukan pemangku kepentingan di bidang kimia medis. Tidak hanya mahasiswa dan dosen, ribuan pengusaha bidang farmasi dari berbagai negara juga hadir di sana. Selain menambah wawasan, mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia FMIPA Unnes itu diharapkan juga menjalin kerja sama antara Jurusan Kimia Unnes dan Borobudur Natural Herbal Industry. Dia juga diharapkan memberikan informasi terkait aplikasi alat-alat laboratorium dan ektraksi bahan-bahan alam.

”Saya belajar dan mendapat pengalaman berharga tentang banyak hal, seperti ekstraksi bahan-bahan alam, alat-alat laboratorium yang kian berkembang, dan bagaimana bernegosiasi serta pentinya menjalin hubungan kerja sama dengan berbagai pihak,” kata Bunga soal perjalanannya.

”Industri di China kian maju pesat karena pemerintah mendukung warganya untuk memajukan perekonomian negara,” tutur Bunga.

    mengenai info double degree ini sangat menarik banyak pihak di setiap individunya. Hingga ketertarikan saya untuk lebih tau soal biaya perkuliahan double degree ini bisa kami mengetahui apa dan gimana yang harus dibayar diawal ataupun selanjutnya setelah ada di sistem kuliah tersebut?

    Sdr. Ahmad Lutfi N yang terhormat. Program ini adalah kerjasama antara Fak Ekonomi Unnes dengan USQ. Semester 1-4 perkuliahan ditempuh di Unnes, semester 5-6 ditempuh di USQ, dan 7-8 ditempuh di Unnes. Biaya untuk perkuliahan di Unnes sama dengan mahasiswa lainnya. sedangkan biaya pada semester 5-6 di USQ ditanggung bersama antara orang tua dan FE Unnes dalam bentuk beasiswa. Jika dihitung sekitar 50%-50%. syarat yang harus dipenuhi adalah peserta memiliki nilai IELTS minimal 6.5. Nuwun
