Pekerja usia anak atau dibawah 18 tahun saat ini menjadi fenomena yang cukup mengkhawatirkan di Indonesia. Meski telah diatur dan dilarang dalam pelaksanaannya, namun pekerja usia anak masih banyak ditemukan.

Di daerah-daerah terpencil utamanya yang memiliki akses pendidikan terbatas dengan penghasilan minimum daerah yang juga kecil, menyebabkan banyak orang tua memilih untuk mendorong anaknya bekerja dari pada bersekolah.

Mengetahui China memiliki permasalahan yang sama dan telah berhasil melakukan penanganan dengan baik, Tim peneliti dari UNNES yang terdiri atas Tri Sulistiyono, Benny Sumardiana, Diandra Ramada, dan Ridwan Arifin melakukan penelitian di dua kota di China yaitu Beijing dan Wuhan.

Penelitian tersebut merupakan penelitian kolaborasi antara Fakultas Hukum UNNES dengan School of Law Wuhan University. Kolaborasi tersebut menyertakan peneliti dari Wuhan University yaitu Professor Shu Hong Yu dan Associate Professor Xiaohui Ban.

Pengambilan data penelitian dilakukan di dua negara yaitu Indonesia dan China kemudian hasil tersebut dikomparasikan dalam diskusi yang dilakukan di Wuhan University.

Diskusi tersebut menghasilkan thesis baru yang nantinya akan menjadi masukan bagi pemerintah untuk menangani penyalahgunaan tenaga kerja usia anak di Indonesia.

Tiap-tiap negara besar dengan jumlah penduduk melimpah pastilah menghadapi permasalahan tenaga kerja anak yang sama, dan kami peduli dengan penyelesaian masalah-masalah tersebut, kata Prof Shu Hong Yu yang juga Director Center of Labour and Social Security Law di Wuhan University.

Tidak hanya diskusi, dalam pertemuan kedua kampus tersebut pun disisipi dengan pembahasan kerjasama strategis dimasa yang akan datang. Keduanya saling menawarkan program yang dapat dikerjakan bersama antara lain student exchange, research collaboration, guest lecture, scholarship, double degree, dan visiting lecture.

Kedua belah pihak berjanji akan menindaklanjuti pertemuan ini dengan pembahasan MoU hingga tercapai kesepakatan nantinya.

Tri Sulistiyono selaku koordinator tim berharap apabila kerjasama ini berhasil terlaksana akan menjadi tambahan jejaring yang sangat bermanfaat bagi UNNES.

Terpisah, Dekan Fakultas Hukum UNNES Dr Rodiyah terus mendorong dosen dan seluruh mahasiswa untuk melakukan interaksi akademik sebesar-besarnya dengan seluruh akademisi di berbagai negara. Baik melalui penelitian PKL, KKL, Seminar, atau penelitian.

Dr Rodiyah juga mengemukakan, dengan pengetahuan yang luas dan jejaring yang kokoh akan menambah eksistensi akademik yang mendorong akselerasi kemajuan institusi ini.

Saat ini tim peneliti akan berpindah dari Wuhan menuju Beijing, rencananya akan mengunjungi Renmin University di Beijing yang juga menjadi bagian dari target rencana kerjasama FH UNNES kedepannya.
