Mahasiswa Program Studi Kepengawasan Sekolah Program Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Semarang (PPs Unnes), menggelar Forum Group Discussion (FGD) di kompleks pemancingan Baron Semarang, Rabu (6/3). Kegiatan yang diikuti tak kurang dari 50 mahasiswa dilakukan sebagai refleksi dan upaya menyiapkan perkuliahan semester ini.

Koordinator kegiatan Hardo Sujatmiko mengatakan, dalam kegiatan itu, mereka bersepakat supaya program studi yang disponsori oleh P2TK Dikmen Kemdikbud ini memberikan nilai tambah dalam pendidikan, khususnya mengenai kepengawasan. “Kegiatan merupakan bagian dari evaluasi atas perkuliahan yang telah dilakukan selama satu semester,” ujarnya.

Seperti pernah dikabarkan, tahun ini merupakan tahun pertama Unnes menjadi penyelenggara Program Beasiswa Peningkatan Kualifikasi Akademik S2 Calon Pengawas Sekolah Menengah.

“Dengan adanya evaluasi, maka semester ini diharapkan para mahasiswa dapat lebih mempersiapkan diri menghadapi perkuliahan. Terlebih lagi, jadwal kuliah, magang kepengawasan, serta kuliah kerja lapangan praktik pengawasan sangat padat,” ujar Hardo.

Dia juga mengatakan, program studi pada pertengahan bulan April akan menyelenggarakan magang kepengawasan di National Institute of Education International (NIEI) Nanyang University Singapura selama dua pekan.

Direktur PPs Unnes Prof Samsudi menyambut baik kegiatan tersebut. Ia berharap dengan persiapan di awal semester yang matang, akan menjadikan program ini berhasil dengan baik.

“Ini merupakan pilot project yang dilakukan Unnes bekerja sama dengan P2TK Dikmen Kemdikbud. Saya berharap sebagai generasi pertama, akan menghasilkan calon-calon pengawas sekolah yang kompeten sehingga membawa perubahan pendidikan ke arah yang lebih baik,” harapnya.
