Rektor Unnes Sudijono Sastroatmodjo dimintai sumbangsaran dalam proses penegerian Universitas Tidar Magelang (UTM). Pasalnya, ia dinilai berhasil membesarkan Unnes menjadi Universitas Konservasi. Pengalaman selama memimpin Unnes diharapkan bisa mempercepat proses penegerian UTM.

“Proses penegerian kan sulit sehingga kami perlu diskusi dengan banyak orang. Rektor Unnes sudah berhasil membesarkan Unnes, sehingga hari ini kita mintai pendapat,” kata Rektor UTM Cahyo Yusuf.

Lanjut Cahyo, selama 4 tahun terakhir proses penegerian UTM mengalami kemajuan yang cukup berarti. Antara lain telah memperoleh lahan 15 hektar dari 25 hektar yang disyaratkan Dirjen Dkti. Selain lahan di kampus Mageleng, Cahyo menjelaskan telah mendapat lahan di Kabuaten Wonosobo dan Temanggung. Di dua tempat tersebut UTM bersinergi dengan pemerintah kabupaten.

“Selanjutnya, akan dilakukan pemeriksaan dokumen dan presentasi di hadapan Menteri Keuangan dan Menteri Dalam Negeri,” lanjut Cahyo.

Harapan supaya proses penegerian UTM cepat selesai juga disampaikan mantan Gubernur Jawa Tengah Mardianto. Mardianto yang didaulat menjadi staf ahli proses penegerian UTM berharap ada sinergi perguruan tinggi dan pemerintah daerah. Merujuk pada Undang-undang nomor 32 Tahun 2004, sinergi antara kampus dengan pemerintah daerah harus dijalin. Ia mengapresiasi partisipasi pemerintah Kabupaten Wonosobo dan Temanggung yang bersedia menyediakan lahan.

“Kehadiran perguruan tinggi negeri di suatu wilayah tidak akan mengecilkan perguruan tinggi swasta. Saya termasuk yang sangat bersemangat membantu UTM menjadi universitas negeri,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Rektor Unnes Sudijono Satroatmodjo mengakui, kerja sama antara Unnes dan UTM telah terjalin lama. Selain dosen UTM banyak yang alumni Unnes, Unnes juga pernah membuka program magister di UTM. Selain itu, ada kesamaan sejarah antara keduanya. Pasalnya, sebelum menjadi universitas, dulu Unnes ada di bawah naungan universitas lain. Lembaga itu kemudian menjadi IKIP dan akhirnya menjadi universitas. Karena itulah, kata Sudijono, pihaknya akan ikut bekerja keras membantu penegerian UTM.

Sebelum menjadi PTN, tambah Sudijono, UTM perlu memfokuskan visi. Visi yang diusung sebaiknya berbeda dengan universitas yang telah ada. Ia menilai dukungan figur sudah sangat cukup. Pun demikian dukungan dari pemerintah daerah di wilayah Karisidenan Kedu.  Berdasarkan pengalamannya memimpin Unnes, Sudijono menyarankan agar UTM taat asas. “Tegasnya, kalau yang harus dilakukan, ya dilakukan. Yang harus dihindari, harus dihindari,” katanya.

Di luar itu, kata Sudijono, sebelum menjadi PTN UTM perlu segera membenahi pengelolaan sumber daya manusia, salah satunya dosen. Rasio dosen dan mahasiswa harus sesuai. “Jika kekurangan dosen, berapa kurangnya, dan bagaimana melengkapinya. Tahun 2014 setiap dosen setidak-tidaknya harus berpendidikan S2,” katanya.
