Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Fatkhur Rokhman MHum meluncurkan masterplan pembangunan gedung pendidikan Unnes (The Development and Quality Improvement of Semarang State University Project), Selasa (3/6) di auditorium kampus Sekaran.

Prof Dr Fatkhur Rokhman MHum mengatakan, proyek tersebut untuk gedung baru terdiri atas dua gedung traning centre, gedung Fakultas Ekonomi (3), Laboratorium Terpadu (1), gedung Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat & Lembaga Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Profesi (1), satu blok kampung budaya, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (1), Fakultas MIPA (1), Fakultas Teknik (1), Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (1), dan Fakultas Hukum (1).

Sedangkan untuk proyek renovasi meliputi gedung Rektorat, Auditorium, Dekanat Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, dan masjid.

Sebagian besar didanai oleh Islamic Development Bank (IDB) 36,1 jutra dolar AS, dan sebagian lainnya didanai pemerintah RI sebesar 9,3 juta dolar. Proyek dimulai tahun 2011 dan ditargetkan selesai 2016 mendatang.

“Tahun 2012 saat itu Unnes memilki 23.000 mahasiswa dan di tahun itu Unnes memproyeksikan pada 2016 mendatang akan punya 45.000 mahasiswa sehingga membutuhkan banyak bangunan baru, laboratorium baru, serta sarana dan prasarana lain. Untuk mengimbangi meningkatnya mahasiswa itu Unnes sangat memerlukan lebih banyak fasilitas untuk mahasiswa tersebut,” kata Prof Fathur.

Prof Fatkhur juga mengemukakan, semua gedung ini nantinya dibangun dengan prinsif green building atau bangunan hijau. Unnes sebagai universitas konservasi sampai saat ini belum punya satu pun bangunan yang Green Building.

“Bila ada tanaman pohon di kampus Unnes yang terpaksa ditebang untuk pembangunan proyek ini pihak developer akan menggantinya menanam 5 kali lipat jumlah pohon yang ditebang baik ditanam di dalam kampus maupuin di luar kampus Unnnes,” kata Prof Fathur.

Selain mendanai sejumlah proyek, tambah Prof Fathur juga memberikan beasiswa doktoral kepada 16 dosen untuk meningkatkan sumber daya manusia. Ke-16 dosen itu belajar di Inggris, Jerman, Australia, New Zealand, Cina, Mesir, dan Taiwan.

  2. langsung aja x pak asa sama kuncen_B4 utk konfirm langsung ke pak Rektor klo memang mentok lewat dekan, kan itu hak2 panjenengan utk merubah keadaan yg ada demi kemajuan Fbs. Ok. Yuk kita bangun Fbs lebih baik lagi.

    Selamat…tapi bisa dipindah gak ya lokasinya..masuk pintu gerbang yang sangat teduh dan menyejukkan sayang kalau digantikan bangunan megah…and apa betul konsep green building 100% ???

    PERPUSTAKAAN sebagai representasi keunggulan akademik universitas perlu dipikirkan juga. Membayangkan perpustakaan seperti yang di universitas luar negeri….kapaaaaan ya, Unnes bisa punya perpustakaan seperti itu??? Semoga…

    sebaiknya sebagai universitas konservasi, tidak melakukan penebangan pohon. khususnya di daerah gerbang utama. mugkin bisa diganti dengan pemindahan pohon2 tersebut ke tempat lain. sayang sekali bukan, hutan akasia itu tiba2 hilang. bayangkan saya butuh berapa hari untuk membentuk satu daun, btuh berapa minggu untuk membentuk satu cabang, butuh berapa bulan untuk membentuk satu batang, dan butuh bebrapa tahun untuk menjadikanya sebuah pohon. saya rasa KONSERVASI itu tindakan, bukan hanya konsep apalagi hanya sekedar kata2 indah saja.
