Ribuan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) berkomitmen untuk menggunakan sekaligus mengembangkan produk hasil karya mahasiswa. Sebab, hal itu dinilai mampu menjadi ajang membangun semangat persaudaraan bangsa Indonesia dari sisi ekonomi.

Hal itu terungkap dalam seminar kewirausahaan bertema “Beli Unnes, Beli Indonesia” dengan pembicara tunggal Happy Trenggono, pendiri PT Bali Muda dan pencetus gerakan Beli Indonesia.  Kegiatan ini merupakan penutupan dari rangkaian acara Gelar Teknik Terpadu (GTT).

Happy Trenggono menyoroti  kondisi Indonesia sebagai negera terbesar keempat namun belum dapat maju. “Hal ini dikarenakan Indonesia belum mempunyai karakter,” tandasnya.

Menurutnya, miskin atau kaya merupakan masalah karakter dan mentalitas, bukan seberapa banyak uang yang dimiliki. Salah satu atribut membangun karakter yaitu entrepreneurship yang tidak hanya dibutuhkan oleh para pengusaha.

Banyak pertanyaan yang muncul terkait kiat mencapai kesuksesan yang menggambarkan ketertarikan peserta. Selain memberikan penjelasan, Happy juga terus memberikan semangat dan motivasi kepada mahasiswa untuk berkomitmen “Beli Indonesia dan Beli Unnes”.

Produk Mahasiswa

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Unnes Prof Masrukhi dalam kesempatan itu mengatakan, banyak produk kewirausahaan hasil karya mahasiswa Unnes, hanya belum terkomunikasikan secara efektif.

“Seperti air mineral ‘Sutera’ yang sudah digunakan dalam acara-acara tingkat universitas. Seharusnya produk tersebut dapat digunakan oleh semua warga Unnes,” tandasnya.

Salah satu produk mahasiswa yang dipamerkan dalam kesempatan itu adalah produk-produk rumah tangga seperti sabun colek, shampo, pembersih porselen, dan produk kimia lainnya yang dibuat oleh Riski Agus dan kawan-kawannya dari Jurusan Teknik Kimia.

“Sekarang produk tersebut hanya digunakan di lingkungan kampus Teknik Kimia dan diperkenalkan dalam bazar-bazar mahasiswa,” kata Riski. Dia juga berharap produk tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan oleh mahasiswa Unnes secara umum maupun masyarakat karena sudah teruji keamanannya.

Gubernur BEM FT Unnes mengatakan, Unnes sebenarnya memiliki banyak produk kewirausahaan dari Program Kreatifitas Mahasiswa (PKM), bahkan sampai tingkat nasional di ajang Gerakan Kewirausahaan Nasional.

Harapannya dengan deklarasi ini, banyak warga Unnes berkomitmen untuk mengembangkan dan membeli produk hasil karya warga Unnes sehingga  mampu membangun Indonesia yang sesungguhnya dari sisi ekonomi.

Kegiatan ini juga mendapat dukungan penuh oleh Dekan FT Drs Muhammad Harlanu MPd yang menyampaikan kebanggaanya atas terselenggaranya seminar ini. “Biasanya Gelar Teknik Terpadu ditutup dengan kegiatan musik, namun kali ini ditutup dengan kegiatan yang sangat bermanfaat yaitu seminar dan deklarasi ‘Beli Unnes’,” ungkapnya.
