Mahasiswa harus memperkuat Wawasan Kebangsaan dan meningkatkan kesadaran Bela Negara guna mengembangkan kemampuan diri di lingkungan masyarakat, ketika mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) terjun ke masyarakat.

Hal tersebut disampaikan Dr Parmin Mpd saat mendampingi Bela Negara Mahasiswa di Dodik Bela Negara Diponegoro, (29/9) di Magelang.

Ia juga menyampaikan, bahwa kegiatan Bela Negara sangat penting diberikan kepada para mahasiswa untuk menghadapi permasalahan terorisme, radikalisme. Mahasiswa harus cerdas dalam ilmu pengetahuan dan memiliki ideologi serta rasa cinta NKRI dan orang tuanya.

Wakil Dekan Bidang Kemahasiswaan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Drs Ngabiyanto MSi saat mendampingi mahasiswa mengingatkan, sebentar lagi kita memperingati hari kesaktian Pancasila. Dengan Bela Negara ini saya kembali mengingatkan mahasiswa, bahwa Pancasila adalah sebagai dasar negara sekaligus ideologi bangsa Indonesia.

Ngabiyanto berharap, setelah kegiatan ini mahasiswa mampu mengamalkan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Kegiatan Bela Negara Periode 4 ini berlangsung mulai tanggal 28 September dan akan berakhir pada 30 September 2017.
